Wow, Surhoff nailed just about everything. Burnes is probably the biggest disappointment but other than that...wow.

I think Aguilar was a pretty big disappointment. If only I wouldn't have picked Chacin by default..... I didn't want to predict which of the youngsters would shine, be okay, and suck - but you kind of knew that would be where it all landed on Woodruff, Peralta, and Burnes. I do have them winning the wildcard game at least.

2019 Brewers Predictions

Win-Loss Record: 88-74

Playoffs (Yes, No): Wild Card

Highest Playoff Level Achieved: Lose NLDS

All-Star Game Representative(s): Yelich, Moose, Grandal, Hader

Offensive Player of the Year: Christian Yelich

Starting Pitcher of the Year: Everybody slightly above average over the season, so Chacin by default

Relief Pitcher of the Year: Josh Hader

Most Surprising Player: Moose is going to have one last blowout

Most Disappointing Player: Jesus Aquilar

The rest of it isn't so bad. Although I definitely gave up on the season about a month ago. I never specified the way in which Arcia would be surprising.

I'm pretty spot on other than the bolded areas. Good job self!

My 2019 Brewers Predictions:

Win-Loss Record: 97-65

Playoffs (Yes, No): Yes, Central Champs

Highest Playoff Level Achieved: World Series

All-Star Game Representative(s): Yelich, Shaw, Grandal, Hader, Woodruff

Offensive Player of the Year: Shaw

Starting Pitcher of the Year: Woodruff (18-10, 2.86 ERA)

Relief Pitcher of the Year: Hader

Most Surprising Player: Braun. I think he starts a little slow, then heats up after the AS break to the tune of an overall .300 AVG, 32 HRs, 100 RBIs. I also think Taylor Williams is going to break out as a high-end leverage-innings reliever this year.

Most Disappointing Player: Aguilar. I think he still puts up solid numbers, but ends up leveling off at somewhere between his 2018 first half and second half stats.

I was a little too optimistic on this team's chances. Nailed the All-Star game reps besides the clear big miss in Shaw. Got the starter and reliever right. Braun has had a very good season, but not as good as I predicted. Williams was a clear miss. Aguilar was a good pick for disappointing, but he was even worse than predicted.

Most Surprising Player: Ben Gamel

Most Disappointing Player: Jesus Aguilar

Ooof.

Well, I can't hit the record and I botched a few others, but I've got them going to the World Series. Hope that one sticks!

I still like my surprising and disappointing player selections.

Did anyone pick Thames for Most Surprising Player? THAT should get major props.

Heh, if only he could find a baseball with that swing. 100% right outside of the last two. Davies has either been white hot or a dumpster fire. He had an absolutely horrible summer, but is finding it again when needed most.
