Interview with Former Brewers OF Pete Zoccolillo

Pete was drafted in 23rd round of 1999 draft and traded to Brewers at 2001 Trade Deadline along with Ruben Quevedo for David Weathers. He made his MLB debut as a Milwaukee Brewer on September 5, 2003. He gives an inside perspective about his baseball life with some great stories. Definitely worth a listen!

Just like your

, your chat with Pete Zoccolillo above was fantastic.

Both of those guys had a Nate Orf-like "let's get these guys to the big leagues" vibe in those very early days of Brewerfan, there just wasn't the easily viral "Free ___ ___" tweets to accompany during those gloomy times for the Brewers big league and minor league squads.

Zoccolillo really tells a great story (numerous ones), and the unique way he learned he'd been called up, after his minor league season was complete, is a great listen.

Look, I don't want 38-players on September rosters, but it is a shame a lot of farmhands whose only big league experience will be as September call-ups may not ever get to share similar call-up stories if the MLB roster adjustment rules go into effect.

Great job, guys, keep 'em coming.
