On Deck Question

Huge lines. Weve been in line for about 45 minutes to get in. They've stopped scanning tickets for right now to try and get the bottle neck to empty out a bit.

Two days = more $ and less busy

We did get in shortly after I posted. I heard there's about 17,000 people here.

The long lines were a bummer but it is still a cool event. My son got his picture with a couple players and there were quite a few players playing games with kids. It is a cool event. If your goal is a lot of autographs that would be hard with so many fans. I am glad it is packed though. Shows the fan base is building up more and more. Lots of energy and excitement for the Brewers. Lots of young fans in attendance. The Brewers market well. With the Bucks and brewers doing well it is a fun time to be a Milwaukee fan

Left about 2:00. Got there at 9:15. Actually got into the main area at about 10:45. Seemed to lack in substance this year. Missed the opening on the main stage. Caught Gantner and Yount on the interactive stage. Seemed like less memorabilia exhibitors. Management panel lasted about 20 minutes. By-product of winning I guess....which I'm all for, but too crowded, so loud you couldn't hear, and all the rest. Good event though. Always good to think baseball on a -20 day!

We ended up having a good time. Our son had fun with some of the games and photo oppoutnity type things. Didn't get any autographs, but we didn't really care about that. Got a good deal on some cleanance Brewers merchandise.

On a side note, we had lunch across the street at the Miller Time Pub & Grill, which was surprisingly good, and has a neat atmosphere.

Minnesota has always done two days.

Isn't it 3 days for Twinsfest

TwinsFest has been 3 days for at least the past 15 years. I've made most of those -- not because I love the Twins (who will never rival the Brewers in my world), but because I can actually get there without driving 350 miles.

A guy I know has had a booth there for many years. In the past it was around $150 per spot, this year was $250. He was cool with paying price increase BUT they also made a requirement that each "business" had to also have $1,000,000+ insurance coverage! My friend got a quote for $200/day from is insurance agent. It would have basically costed him $700 to display there (he gets two spots). I'm guessing this turned a lot of people off.
