FWIW here are the estimates from MLBTR. Been mostly in line with the estimates: Overall most came in a bit below that, mainly Shaw, Piña and Guerra.

One that's a bit curious (Since the estimates are normally really good) is that Baez came in $2m below the estimate.

They probably didn’t take into account his elite tagging ability...

Manny Pina's contract includes a 2020 option with a $150k buyout.

Also some incentives:

The team option for 2020 also includes a $150K buyout, pushing Pina’s guaranteed dollar amount to $1.75MM. Incentives could push the value of the deal higher if Pina wins a Gold Glove ($25K), Silver Slugger ($50K), LCS MVP ($25K), World Series MVP ($50K), National League MVP ($100K), or if he earns a trip to the All-Star game ($50K).

Come on! If Manny Pina wins NL MVP he deserves more than a $100k bonus :laughing

Pina's 2020 team option is for $1.85M. That is a very minimal increase from is 2019 arby salary ($1.6M). I cannot understand why Pina would do this. The 1.6M was actually less than some have predicted so there was no reason to give a team option (at a low value) to get the $1.6M. I suppose he is not expected to get a lot of playing time but still, you would think he could get more than $250k raise in arby next year. He did get some incentives but those are unlikely to be achieved due to his limited playing time.

Odd.

My guess is getting next year fully guaranteed was a big part of it
