Aaron Jones as focal point of the offense was refreshing.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I don't think Jones is a workhorse type back. I do believe he should have between 15-20 touches every single game though.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Sort of. He only had 15 carries, and the Packers had a 18:34 rush to pass ratio.

I was referring to the first drive. Most of the scripted plays we're specifically for Jones.

Knew I should have posted that in the first place.

I’m not reading much into the outcome of yesterday’s game other than I was obviously impressed with Aaron Jones and the defense’s ability to keep the Dolphins out of the endzone. They beat an average, banged-up team at Lambeau. I’m happy with the win, but not ready to adjust my expectations. Thursday will be a more legitimate test.

Good test for Packers this week. Road game on short rest against a middling team. They need to start winning on the road. Looked better yesterday but until they can do that 3-4 times in a row they're just another mediocre squad.

Packers have a tough schedule this year. I would love to see the Bears play a tough road game but they don't until Minnesota. They get the Rams, Patriots, and Seattle at home.

Any game against the Rams and Patriots is going to be incredibly tough.

It's seriously fortunate that our special teams was exposed in this game versus a closer game. Hopefully adjustments are made going forward, because it was pretty bad.

It seemed like we emphasized the run on the first couple drives specifically, and then shifted a bit more pass heavy after that. Which was surprising considering Jones ran for 100 yards in the first half alone. Williams should basically be the 3rd down back, with Jones handling all other situations. He's clearly the superior runner and it isn't close.
