Its kind of nice I can watch this as a fan of neither team and just enjoy it. I cant even imagine how my heart would be able to handle 18 innings of a Brewers World Series game. Though I guess I would have liked to found out.

If MLB is going to commit to this low offense, high strikeout style of game, they HAVE to institute a pitch clock. With the amount of runs scored this game should have taken 4-5 hours at most.

I could be wrong, but my understanding was that the objection to the pitch clock was coming from the player's union. The league proper is all for it, to the point of wanting to institute it over the players' objections. At least IIRC.

The more I see in this series, the more beatable the Red Sox appear to be. This actually makes me feel worse that the Brewers didn’t make it. I thought the Red Sox would dominate either the Dodgers or the Brewers so I took solace that the Brewers couldn’t have beaten them. Now, I don’t know.

Puig and Machado powering a lot of the Dodgers offense...we could have had both. Maybe they don’t fit in our clubhouse (especially Puig), but I think that is a little overblown to some extent. Interesting to wonder if Machado might have actually been the missing link. Would never have guessed at the deadline, but a major RH hitter killed us when we needed it most.

Of course Arcia was pretty good in the postseason, but I’d bet my life Arcia would have gotten work in at 2B after such a trade. With the pathetic play at 2B by our RH hitters he probably would have started anyway. Would have been some nice defense up the middle.

Just some “what if” things to wonder about. Not saying it would have ended better or even the same...just a situation that easily could have happened.

I know it is only tied, but it would be nice to see the Dodgers lose and change the stat via this Tweet:

“The Dodgers are 54-0 when leading by 4 runs at any point this season, including postseason. They're the only team without such a loss.”

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Heck, having a 4-0 lead in the 1st was a curse for us at one point this season.

It seemed clear that at some point relying on Floro was going to cost them, just sad that it wasn't against us.

Floro started this season as a 27 year old in Triple-A with the Cincinnati Reds and is now pitching in a 9th inning tie game in the World Series. Good story, but the Dodgers bullpen’s “second tier” does seem to finally be catching up with them.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
