I lost my voice in the first inning, got it back in the 7th, and lost it again. That was so much fun. Can’t wait for tomorrow

That’s awesome! I’ll be there tomorrow night, and I can’t wait (or likely sleep).

Not just “at Night” anymore.

So biggest game in 36 years tomorrow?

I think it is common sense to think Chacin is going 3 max. Why would we bother having him face guys a second time when our bullpen is fully loaded and they all looked great tonight? We get 2 days rest before Game 1 on Tuesday. I’d be shocked if he went more than 4, absolutely shocked.

I'll be shocked if he goes 4 to be honest.

I'm thinking 3 innings planned, then the bullpen takes over.

Chacin hasn't given up a run in three postseason starts...it's great that the pen is essentially all hands on deck and in good shape, but that doesn't mean they have to start burning through them immediately. I doubt Chacin sees the 6th, but if he's pitching well he's going to get more than 1 run through the Dodger order.

Maybe....maybe we load the bases in the third and want to go with Granderson to PH? It's game 7....it's whatever you have to do. And with a fully rested Hader....we should be good to go. Just gotta try and jump on Buehler early in the game. 24 year old rookie pitching in a game 7? Could be Josh Beckett....could be wild and give the Brewers a shot at some early runs.

As HiAndTight said the offensive situation matters probably just as much.

Heck say Chacin goes 6 up and 6 down and we load the bases with 1 out in the 2nd with the 9 spot coming up. You have to at least consider taking a shot, don't you?

Counsell was outstanding tonight.

I thought going to JJ in the 7th was a great call on many levels. First you get him some work a little earlier so that if he struggles you've got other high end options available. Secondly it gets him a nice clean inning, he is available for long work tomorrow and gets a good outing behind him first, builds some confidence again.

I wasn't crazy about not taking a shot for Knebel when his shot came up in the 6th but it worked out and probably doesn't affect his availability for tonight.

Definitely agree about JJ. I tend to agree about Knebel too, in part just because it gives me pause to see such a valuable reliever hit - especially one who already nearly had his whole year torpedoed by a hamstring injury. In my opinion guys like Guerra and Peralta deserve enough trust to hold a 3-run lead for a couple innings but I can see the logic of using Knebel.

The biggest "because baseball" note of this game - the two guys that many fans were calling for to get starts, Granderson and Santana, had what were possibly the two worst at-bats out of anyone tonight. And several of the guys that looked lost - Aguilar, Moose and Yelich - had several nice at bats.

Very true about baseball. Although in their defense, they didn't get to bat against Ryu, did they? He was so awful that it's almost not fair to compare guys who faced him vs. guys who didn't.

However, I don't think anyone advocated Granderson starting against the LHP. I don't think anyone has ever advocated him facing an LHP since he's been a Brewer, for that matter. That was in anticipation of a possible game 7.

Aguilar is the guy that made many people "eat their words". Hopefully facing a pitcher who was doomed to struggle even more than Aguilar has was just the thing to get his confidence back. But I put "eat their words" in quotation marks because I don't even believe in trying to predict what's going to happen in any given game and I don't believe guessing wrong is the same as being wrong-headed. Saying you'd start Braun at 1B and Santana in RF, if it was an option, was reasonable and people had plenty of evidence to support it. That's all you can do. Then you baseball.

I totally agree. I certainly saw the logic behind giving Santana a start. And I've loved how Granderson has battled in his at-bats up until last night. I certainly didn't expect the col guys to get going against Ryu, yet another crafty lefty. A lot of things happened last night that defy logic ... and it was great!

I would think that Granderson will be the first pat off the bench against Bueller tonight. I would be tempted to give him a start in LF, but there is no way, no how that Braun isn't starting Game 7 of the NLCS. You can't really bench Aguilar after last night, either. It's a terrific position to be in.

What an absolutely fun night last night. If we manage to win this darn thing it will be one TALL task against the Red Sox. They have been so dominate all year. I believe who ever wins the NLCS will run into a buzz saw in Boston next week. But I'd rather it be us than LA. :)

Or maybe the Red Sox run into a blue and gold buzzsaw. :D
