I get the whole getting loud and trying to help the players feed off that energy. However, there always seem to be those one or two fans in each section that believe the crowd should be loud all the time. There are situations where that really does not make sense. At game 2, in the 7th inning, the Brewers started the inning up 3-0. It then became 3-1 and then they walked in a run to put the score at 3-2. Throughout this whole agonizing series of events there was one clown in our section constantly on his feet trying to urge every one to stand up and be loud. He continued to shout over and over "Let's go Brewers!" and was getting irritated that other's were not following along.

I get it when your team is in that situation and you have 2 strikes on the batter. Then yeah, get on your feet and try to "will" that 3rd strike, but this guy was up and shouting regardless of the situation. It didn't matter if the count was 2-0 or 3-1, it was constant. Thankfully, the majority of the people in our section ignored him.

I can't stand that person. It's my second least favorite type of fan, well maybe third. First is guy that can't stop changing seats and is asked to get out of someone else's 10 times. Second the drunk screamer, third that guy, "obligatory pump-up man."

"bleachers guy imploring everyone to start The Wave" tops all of that. especially if it's a close game and/or the Brewers are batting

This. Game 2 of the NLDS there was a couple of clowns to the right of my wife and I trying this. Sadly there was a couple of clowns in the group right in front of us who agreed it was a good idea. Luckily they quickly realized everybody else wanted to watch the baseball game.

Game 1 of NLDS I used that fan misconduct text thing for the first time in my life. There was a guy that came into 110 where I was sitting and took an "empty" seat that belonged to guy going to the bathroom. He sat right next to his wife and she shrugged. He came back, he gets up, does it to some other lady, she does the same thing, just lets him do it. I couldn't believe that.

He continually did that 7-8 times, getting up every 45 seconds. If you just sit in one empty seat, whatever. Doing it over and over again annoyed the hell out of me. To their credit, the Brewers had someone there within 60 seconds of my text, by then he had a seat no one had sat in all game. He did the "I threw away my ticket, this is my seat!" and they weren't having it. It was oddly satisfying watching him get tossed.

I watched something similar happen game 1 or 2 of the NLCS. We saw what looked like a 15 or 16 year old girl complaining to like 5 staff members and a police officer that looked like The Rock. Apparently some guy sat in this girls seat when she got up and refused to leave. The guy was a burly upper 20s type guy that had been drinking and I believe he was asked to leave the stadium. It was The Rock clone that did all the talking, I can't even imagine how intimidating that must have been...guy probably needed a change of clothes after that encounter.

My buddy is adamant they lost game 2 because the fans did the stupid wave during the game.

I HATE the wave! I remember in game 4 of the NLDS in 2008 (the Suppan game), some girl was trying to get the wave started after we were already down and I shut that down pretty quickly haha. I'm going to lose it if the wave happens tonight, unless we're up like 10-0 or something.

Some clown in around section 208 or 209 tried to get the wave going late in Game 2 and got ignored hard by everyone around him and it made me so happy. There's an amazing ballgame going on in front of you, I've never understood the guys who absolutely need to be the center of attention and try to get the stupid wave going.

It's enraging just picturing it-

{only person standing in whole section. holds hand in air in preparation of count off}

"ONE!"!

"TWO!"

"THREE!!!!!!!!!!"

{exaggeratedly bends down then stands up and throws hands in the air in hopes that all others will follow}

Not a big fan of the wave either. Though I probly don't mind it as much because odds are I am in the front row of any section I sit in or at least pretty far forward. It is brutal to watch circle the stadium if the game is good...like really? In a close game and here we are doing the wave. Thouigh hard to complain because it usually means a lot of people are filling the stadium and we are probably winning lots of games. Fair tradeoff

I got light-headed booing Manny in his last AB. Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Seeing the Brewers so loose and looking like they were having as good of a time as we were was great as well. If you’re going tonight, head out early. We left Madison at 4, didn’t get into the stadium until almost 6:30. We had wanted to be there by 6.

Great time! I saw some dude on the field level try to start the wave in the 7th inning and almost passed out with rage, but thankfully it didn't take hold.

Yeah I think he was in 107. Still only a 3 run game and the Brewers were batting. Luckily everyone else was having none of it.

Yep, that's the one. I was in 228 so I could see it clear as day across the field. I was VERY proud of the crowd around him haha.

In a full stadium, a top-flight wave can be really neat, especially if you can get some sort of variety going, like double, opposite direction waves. Problem is, high quality ones are rare and it is annoying to be in the section where someone is trying to get it started. You almost need an official wave-starter or something so fans get onboard quickly.

I wouldn't want a wave in a big game, though. Too distracting.

I feel like the wave is better suited to a "bowl" shaped arena like lambeau or college football. Baseball stadiums are oddly shaped for it.
