You have to slide AND make an attempt to stay on the bag. No way could he stay on the bag with that slide when you start the slide right on the base...no chance.

 

To use a poker term, Dodgers runners are really angle-shooting on those slides.

What is with these pricks...you don't start your slide right on the friggin bag. Chase Utley would be proud...

Again, you have to make an attempt to slide into the base and remain on the base. That slide...no way was he staying on. That is proven as he slides like 4 feet past the bag.

The announcer’s defense of that was the fan had to reach over the thick padded wall. Lol

 

Its true. If the ball is not in play, theres no interference.

 

I took it as it was an unlikely situation because the wall was too thick for anyone to reach over, which wasn’t the case.

You can grab the base to hold on, the thing we should focus on with that play was the amazing turn from Scope
