I’m baffled why we keep trotting our a clearly ineffective Jeffress and Cedano the last 2 games while Guerra and Peralta are sitting there.

Back breaker if offense can’t do anything in 9th...

Agreed. If you are going to carry a 10 man bullpen, then use them. Fresh arms probably would've won this game.

Burnes?

Honest question:

For those who think Cedeno totally failed this inning, who respond to that result as "thanks for nothing" or "he sucks," what did you think about Granderson's AB? Did you think, "Man, that was a good AB. Worked the count, got his pitch, hit it hard, but just didn't get the result he wanted?"

Both players had similarly bad results, yet both performed basically the same way. Granderson hit it hard, but not quite hard enough (or enough into the corner). Cedeno got a guy to hit a weak 18-hopper that somehow found its way through the infield.

It's not so much that one AB for Cedeno as it is his playoff performance as a body of work lately (including Game 163).

It was pretty unrealistic to think that this team was going to go undefeated in the playoffs. They need to go to work in LA, but the situation is not doom and gloom. The board feels like the crew is down 0-3 in the series or something. This is baseball, everyone.

To echo others, when you have a 3 run lead going into the late innings, you kind of already start feeling like "this game is a win", and people already feel like we're heading to LA with a 2 game lead. Blowing the game is deflating. Yeah, it could be 1 to 1, which isn't the worst thing in the world, and they only need to win 1 in LA to bring it back to Milwaukee, which they can and should do..... but that's not the point. You just get to a point where with a 3 run lead in the late innings, that game "feels" like you've already emotionally banked it as a win, and it didn't happen (or doesn't look like it will be......hey, they could still come back and win), and as a fan, that's really emotionally deflating.

Yeah, I don't like Cedeno, but the hit was something like a six bouncer up the middle to beat the shift.

The idea of bringing a guy in for one batter must be abolished by Counsell. It never works and puts the next guy in hot water every time.

It's literally worked dozens of times this year and far more times than not.

Nope not really. Have you heard of Dan Jennings?

Get one on, get Yelich to send one into the seats, and let's head to L.A. up 2-0.

Well, we had our best with an opportunity. Crap. Probably have to win two in LA.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
