2018-10-07 (NLDS Game #3): Brewers (Miley) at Rockies (Márquez) 3:37 PM CDT [Brewers win 6-0, completing sweep of COL, and are going to the 2018 NLCS!!!]

Eye Black
Honestly with a 4 run lead I hope they let Burnes throw next and see if they can get to the finish without using Hader/Jeffress in the cold wet conditions.

I agree. Maybe it's hubris but with the bottom part of the Rockies order coming up I wouldn't mind Burnes or even Guerra to avoid giving Hader/Jeffress even more work.

Lots of arguing and whiny faces from the rockies this series. Are they always this whiny? Arenado looked like he was gonna cry

They stink. They're lucky they played a bunch of even more whiny, pouty pretenders with no backbone at the end of they year because they have been brutally exposed against the two legitimate contenders in the NL in the last month.

They did beat the cubs. Oh. I see.

2 runs were great but we still struck out 3 times and the batters did nothing to bring those runners in with less than 2 outs.

Yah, hard to ignore that. We aren’t playing a postseason team right now...more like the Orioles. The Dodgers are way better than this...way better. I hope we turn things around by Friday cause we won’t win games against the Dodgers playing like this.

Do you have anything to add or are you just going to critique my opinion without sharing one yourself.

Hard to argue our offense hasn’t been terrible...and we ain’t really playing against great pitchers. The pitching has been pretty solid, but their offense looks tired and defeated. I will say our composure and mental game has been on point in this series.

I think we are really showing who is enjoying this and who is a train wreck watching. I just don’t know how more fans aren’t truly enjoying this stuff. I’m soaking it in!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Marquez is a great pitcher. If you can't at least enjoy this series I don't really know what to tell you. Brewers have won 10 in a row...leading in game 11. Enjoy the ride, dude.

Oh I am enjoying it, but hope we play a little better ball come Friday. They have the talent and players to do it. Maybe this was our slump and another team just slumped harder on offense. Bats hopefully can come awake in the warm confines of Miller Park and LA.

Kratz is my favorite player on this team - a guy who's been all over the place in his career, with little MLB experience, at age 38 becomes a big part of the Brewer season. Great story, very happy for him.

Arguably the NLDS MVP - two-run single in Game 2, the double and the run on a wild pitch...

I enjoyed it, thanks for the concern. It is possible to analayze the team completely and still enjoy it. Maybe not for you, but everyone is different.

Probably him or moose.

They do have to execute better on offense to beat LAD, but they might. They really haven't been a bad offensive team since acquiring Moustakas, and there's not much reason to believe the current RISP struggles are anything more than a normal fluctuation.

Hard to pin it to anyone really. All of Kratz big plays ended up rather meaningless looking at the end result. Probably should go to Moustakas. He was huge the first two games.

So because we're winning we can't acknowledge that our offense has looked putrid against average at best pitching? If we advance, whoever we play will have a batter offense and better pitching. Ya, I'm excited to (probably) be moving on but there are lots of red flags in the batters box.

Just so everyone has some perspective, scoring is way down throughout the playoffs. The way teams avoid allowing batters to even get a 2nd look at pitchers is going to make it harder for runs to come by. Chill about the Brewers bats. They're getting the job done. Allow yourself to enjoy the game of baseball.
