Windmill didn't wave him in, he did nothing, made no decision. Just rewound the dvr.

Yeah it's on both of them really. Dumb move by Braun and Sedar just kind of paced around like a deer in the headlights.

I like the idea of being aggressive but the odds of taking 2 bases on a wild pitch are just way too low to even be thinking about it there.

Going second to home has got to be about as low-percentage as it gets. That absolutely boggles my mind.

I can generally agree with this. Also as noted, pitcher was rattled. That was seriously doing him a favor. Who knows, he might have had a 3rd wild pitch in him...

Would have been nice of Sedar to give him some kind of direction, but that was just plain stupid.

He shouldn’t have to on that play.

Maybe he shouldn't, but he could hold up a stop sign like any 3rd base coach with an ounce of sense in the moment there.

The only silver lining here is that if there is one person on this roster I trust to shake off a colossal mental error like that and be a star going forward, it is Braun. Say whatever you want about the guy, he clearly has amazing confidence and mental fortitude.

I'll add that he's also clearly feeling good and I like that he's aggressive and willing to take chances. Confidence is a good thing.

On the replay Senzatela blocked the plate. Granted it's the pitcher, but it was still blocked way before he had the ball.

The replay makes that play look A LOT closer than it was in real time. Braun almost made that work, somehow.

Senzatela has been pitching the best he has all year in his last 3 starts. Key has been upping the use of his curveball and changeup dramtically. His ability to throws those 2 pitches effectively and the Brewers ability to hit offspeed offerings will be the key to their offensive output.

In the first inning, Senzatela obviously had no feel for his offspeed stuff. If that continues, it bodes very well for the Brewers batters. He's a guy that wins on breaking pitches, not his fastball.
