Would have been nice of Sedar to give him some kind of direction, but that was just plain stupid.

Sedar had his back to Braun and was watching the ball. That is kind of an awkward spot for a third base coach since looking at the ball means he can't see the runner. It should just be hardcoded in Braun to not take 2 bases on a wild pitch unless it is a really crazy wild pitch though.

well just got home and sounds like Braun made a horrible decision to go. Uek seemed to think it was "close"

The throw beat him by a mile, but he actually came pretty close to avoiding the tag.

[sarcasm]Well now I’m glad Braun tried to score.[/sarcasm]
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'm not sure there wasn't a >30% chance Braun scored there, so I have no problem with the failed gamble.

I don't know what the percentages would be (if I had to guess I would say lower) but you also have to factor in the fact that more than one run could have been scored in the inning.

One more inning? Then go to a ph to lead off?

That would be my guess. If we were up 2-0 or 3-0, maybe run him back out there until he tires or gets through the order one more time, but we may need the offense, even if Woody faces the minimum again.

Woodruff looks a little wild (not tired). He's been solid to go 2. Would like one more and call it.

Missing with his off-speed stuff, and catching quite a bit of the plate with his fastball. I'd imagine he won't be fooling them for much longer.

Well, if Woodruff looks good...do you let him bat? I still let him bat once if he goes 1-2-3 unless there are a couple rocket outs

Nope. The point is to not let them see him twice. Maybe if we were up a couple of runs.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave
