I have no problem with him thinking that way, heck all guys should think that way really. He shouldn't go home and say 'welp turns out they're better than us'. I just chuckle at the hypocrisy that you're the one running your mouth all the while saying its the other guys running theirs. Pot/kettle, etc. Besides that, generally speaking one shouldn't be tone deaf enough to publicly say this the day after losing but it's not uncommon at all for athletes to say the 'better team didn't win today' and that's basically all he's doing. I think Rodgers says it all the time.

I get your point, confidence is a good thing. Rodgers saying he thinks we can run the table is a bit different than what Baez is saying here.

Yea I think after plenty of losses Rodgers has used the phrase best team didn't win, think the Seattle game. He's just one example though, it's a common phrase by lots of athletes and Baez saying it is just like everyone else doing it. It's not rare IMO. Usually it's best just to keep your mouth shut, but he's not the first to say stuff like this.

This is how petty I am... anybody got a picture of the team flags flying at Wrigley tonight?

I like how you think. I wonder the same and would love to see those flags flying with the Gold and Blue on top.

I am enjoying the Statcast edition of the broadcast on ESPN2. I don’t know if I would want to watch it for a game in which I had a rooting interest, but enjoyable for this type of game.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Which team would you rather face? Cubs seems to be struggling while Rockies are white hot.

I don't think my blood pressure could handle a Cubs series. I hate them so much. I could handle losing to the Rockies.

My answer yesterday would have been the Cubs because I think it'd be amazing to beat them when it matters. After reading Cubs' fans tweets and other random crap about how much fun Wrigley Park North will be, their cockiness, and the fact they were completely overlooking the Rockies -- that kind of makes me want to see them get destroyed tonight. I don't think my heart could take a series with the Cubs. I at least respect the Rockies.

That is verbatim where I am at as well. Right now it feels like we conquered that mountain and I am ready to take on a different challenger regardless of which team is a perceived tougher current matchup.

I never thought about it like that! Go Rockies!

Coming from someone who lives in the heart of evenly-divided Cubs and Cardinals territory, +1. During the NFC Championship vs. the Bears, the thought of losing and having to deal with the enemy fans forever after that game made me absolutely sick. Winning that game was more of a relief than a joy. I want to thoroughly enjoy this experience, so put me down as a Rockies fan in this one.
