We Won the Division at Wrigley Field

From reading some post game stuff it sounds like there were a ton of very vocal Brewer fans there. Turnabout's fair play.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

As cool as it would be to have won this at Miller Park, I don't think that would top what we just witnessed. From the let's go Brewers chants and Moose chants, to the MVP chants with Cub fans trying to drowned it out by booing, it really doesn't get any better.

This could have happened regardless, but I really think what Cole Hamels said light a fuse in our players and fan base that lead us to winning the division. It's just too bad that these aren't rival teams.

During the game I thought the Brewers cheers were almost as loud as Cubs. I had my notes on the board and the game on our smart TV. The kids enjoyed watching during class

I thought about this today as I was taking my dog for a pregame walk. Not much to add as I never checked the record or anything since then, but it does make today's victory a bit sweeter.

Truly one of the best days of my life. That is all.

They also clinched a playoff berth at St. Louis.

So they got to dance on the field and spray beer all over the locker rooms of both Wrigley Field and Busch Stadium.

Posted this in the game thread but I went to my dads house to watch this game. As Rizzo flew out to end the game we embraced and celebrated as tears flew down our cheeks. Just amazing.

I can’t get over how loud and how many Brewer fans showed up today.

Thank you Mark A and thank you David Stearns. This team is special. Never want this season to end.

I thought about this a couple days ago and wondered if it could really happen and just how awesome for our players to celebrate on those hallowed grounds. Has this ever been done in MLB history? So very very thrilled for our players and fans!!! There is more too !!!!!k

I know this. I did not enjoy the division title in 2011 as much as I should have. I was 25, living alone for the first real time, and so focused on the playoffs I forgot to celebrate that team as much as they deserved to be celebrated

I will say this: championships are forever. I want to win in the playoffs, but they cannot take today away. Fly that division title banner, baby! What a memorable run to close the year. This team has given us all some awesome moments this year, and I hope we savor them over the next two days and then add a few more starting Thursday!

Great post! Nobody can take away the Division Championship. Arguably the best division in MLB this season.

Just got home from the game a few minutes ago and haven't read anything else on the board yet, but I was very impressed with how many Brewers fans showed up. A pleasant surprise today to have "Let's Go Brewers" and "M-V-P" chants at Wrigley.

I am certainly excited for what is ahead, but part of me wishes this was like the end of the original Major League movie where you are left guessing if the magical run ever ends. I'm on cloud nine tonight!!!

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I don't think you could have asked for a better two week stretch in regular season history for the franchise. Absolutely incredible to clinch the playoffs and subsequent division on your rivals homefields, and rattling off 8 straight wins including a tiebreaker on the road to get HFA through the NLCS to do it!

The team gets to take a couple deserved days off before beginning the playoffs at home. Pretty good reward for this grind-it-out squad! NL is wide open this year. No reason this team can't at least win the pennant!

Not to mention Yelich running past your rival punk for MVP.
