Playoff Tickets-Lottery?

rickh150
I am curious for the 10-pk holders, did anyone search best available? What was left? Curious what will be left for the public.

I did not search for best available because I was pretty set on paying no more than terrace box. But, the seats I was able to get were pretty good (low rows in sections not far from home plate) so the impression I got was that there were plenty available. I only bought for the WC game and NLDS game 1.

I talked my order over the phone with my rep. From the sounds of it dug out to home plate on both sides were pretty well spoken for, minus single seat tickets. He mentioned i was one of the last to get the section I did with 4 tickets...I didn’t look into anything other than infield box/platinum though.

That was there, however it was not in the email that went out, and I (and I assume many others given the volume of issues) just went to buy now immediately without reading. I'm not sure it would have made a difference had I seen it because of their lame processing system. I hate all sites where you can't open new tabs to do things.

What volumes of issues are you referring to. I mean it's OK that you screwed up the process but what leads you to believe many others did the same.

My rep emailed me and said she manually processed 50 orders from people with that issue yesterday.

Yes, best available for the Wild Card Game came up as the 4th row of the Field Diamond Platinum (forget which section). I chose to stick with my normal location, the Loge Infield seats.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

A couple of you sure are salty about this. It's OK that I screwed up the process? Didn't realize I had apologized to you.

The ticket office wasn't answering phones for about 3 hours yesterday and spent the afternoon manually processing orders because of this. When I did contact my rep, he told me it was a "widespread issue." I only personally knew 3 other SSH and all had the same thing happen. There are four posters in this thread alone that dealt with it.

Do you need anything more explained to you or are you appeased?

In a situation like this people are rushing to get their order completed as fast as possible. People don't want to read, they want to hit buttons and be done. That is how I like to do it when it is something where thousands of others are getting the same opportunity at the same time. People who read get worse tickets.

The Brewers pricing sheet is really strange. The third home game of the NLDS would be cheaper than the rest, but only at some sections of the stadium. On the other hand some sections are more expensive for the first NLDS game, but cheaper for the WC game or the NLDS games.

Yes, that's exactly it. You have no idea who else is waiting for 10 a.m., you click what you want and try to check out.

It's become really obvious in six pages now that there a couple of posters who are clearly just bitter and salty that they don't get first crack at the tickets and will be left with leftovers or nothing at all.

It is dynamically priced. It is most likely the lowest demand game because it probably won't happen and people don't want to front cash for that.

No I'm good. After reviewing everything here I can see that the widespread issue was user error.

The widespread issue was poor and incomplete communication. The checkout system should have been communicated in the email sent out days prior, not on the page you order tickets at the same time as thousands of other people.

It isn't user error when the staff has to manually duplicate the work of an automated system. That's Project Management 101.

I understand. I'm not trying to be a jerk. When I did it I had someone else looking over my shoulder. We ordered the WC game then saw the "order additional tickets" thing at the same time as I was thinking that it wouldn't make much sense to make us check out 4 separate times. So I can see someone seeing the seconds ticking away thinking they're not going to get any tickets at all and immediately going to the checkout with just the one game.

A couple of you sure are salty about this.

You're the one who cancelled your season tickets.

That's been addressed as an emotional reaction already, and I didn't. Again, I'd love to see those of you won't pony up $340 to be SSH, react to spending $7k and then be locked out of your presale before getting what you want. Then call your rep and get 3 hours of silence.

I'm sure that wouldn't upset anybody but me.

Troll someone else.

I'm young, but I am not really a big fan of electronic tickets. I find it especially annoying when I sit in good seats and the ushers constantly pester to check my ticket. Sure let me pull my phone out of my pocket, unlock it, find the app, let it load for 5 hours, and then show you. It is a bit of a pain.

I have never really had huge issues getting in, but a nice solid sun will make it hard to read for the scanner and as always who knows when your phone will act up or even worse...the app be down. One time StubHub's ticket shower thingy screen was down. Thankfully it got back up and running before the Brewers gates ever opened, but some people going to a basketball game or something couldn't get in right away and they were not very happy about it.

It's very annoying. Take a screen shot of the ticket though. I did this last year at Wrestlemania and it worked fine, but did make me think later that you could send that screen shot to anybody in the arena and they could come sit on the floor with you with an upper bowl ticket.

Digital tickets are nice. Just login online and print them if you always have issues. Digital are great for forwarding to people on game day and right before the game, no need to meet people anywhere.

I have season tickets and found them frustrating as all hell at first, then I dug around and found you can print them instead of fumbling around with your phone everywhere, all problems solved.

Those are the advantages, but the printing option is limited when there are no barcodes until hours before the game. But I still prefer mobile entry everywhere I can use it.

This is what I usually do to avoid fumbling around for the usher and I usually have it ready when going to my seat. That being said they are very stingy if you are first row by the field and will randomly check sometimes.

Either way I don't really care that much, mobile or print out. I just don't find any drawbacks for having the printed out copy that makes me thankful when I have the electronic version...which I almost always have because I tend to do ticket upgrading...every time. So printing it out is rarely a true option.

But once again I don't really care, doesn't keep me up at night. Just gives me something to complain about for 5 minutes.

Can't you see that the Brewers are trying to keep reselling down by doing digital tickets day of game? Selling playoff tickets to the enemy, especially the Cubs fans? NLDS games? Really? Hide behind StubHub or your wad of cash you spent in the reg. Season, if you want. We all want a home field advantage and us poor slobs don't care about "poor" season ticket holders. Be a fan.

Time to pump the brakes a little, Rick.

I would never go to an event without a paper ticket for the reasons laid out above. Not really hard to print them.

Edit: it appears that these barcodes are not available until cloe to gametime, so maybe it is a little more difficult to print them. I'm not familiar with that phenomenon.

I haven't seen anything regarding what time they will be available, I just saw gameday. Has anyone seen anything specific to the time? I have to imagine they'll be available at least 4-5 hours prior to game to give ample time to for fans wanting to print...smart thing to do would be to make them available at 8 am just to be safe.

The new arena is pretty much all paperless except on a "case-by-case" basis

You may have heard inklings during the opening days of Fiserv Forum that the arena was going paperless when it comes to your actual tickets – meaning they've all gone digital, with no more printed PDF tickets or anything like that. According to Jamie Morningstar, senior VP of ticket sales and service for the Milwaukee Bucks, they're far from the only place going in this ticketless direction, as venues and festivals across the country and globe nix paper stubs and PDFs.

https://onmilwaukee.com/buzz/articles/fiserv-forum-how-to-tickets.html

Now, let's say that you own a flip phone or your mobile device died while you were enjoying a beer before the game or you don't own a computer and you don't have a library card and internet cafes haven't existed since around Y2K. You can still definitely get into Fiserv Forum.

"You can give us a call, and we have solutions for those folks. At no point is this technology meant to prohibit any type of person from getting into the building," said Morningstar, explaining that they can print off tickets or verify your tickets on location at Fiserv Forum for those in need. But they handle these all on a case-by-case basis – and honestly, that'd be more of a hassle than simply downloading an app, making an quick account and hitting a few buttons.
