Playoff Tickets-Lottery?

Depends how far you're willing to walk after parking. I've parked for free every game near 51st and Wisconsin. 20 minute walk.

My wife and I have been big fans of parking at a local watering hole and taking the shuttle. Gets you in and out quickly and easily.

I had to stop doing this because the local bar would run shuttles for 2 hours before the game. They have 2 shuttles that seat about 15 people each. They were regularly shuttling well over 100 people to games.

After waiting over an hour to get on a shuttle after the game, that was the end of shuttling for me. I'll park on Wells and walk down.

They have changed it since the beginning of the year/last year. Now they actually have lines for whatever pub you are heading. The last 5 times we have gone we've gotten on the SOBs shuttle or the McGinns within 30 seconds. Now, I do expect a bit more chaos for playoff games if we are fortunate enough to host.

I would have if I were home

You better be going to this game. For all the crap going back and forth between us over the year, and the hissy fit, your ticket motives better be pure come playoff time.

And if they weren't, then what exactly would you do?

I'd love to see how some of you would react after spending $7k on the club this year and being locked out of buying playoff tickets.

Can't you see that the Brewers are trying to keep reselling down by doing digital tickets day of game? Selling playoff tickets to the enemy, especially the Cubs fans? NLDS games? Really? Hide behind StubHub or your wad of cash you spent in the reg. Season, if you want. We all want a home field advantage and us poor slobs don't care about "poor" season ticket holders. Be a fan.

I didn't say I was selling them?

I was just asking, in earnest, what exactly would you do? I personally want to go to as many games as possible, but you really overestimate your sphere of influence.

I'm also annoyed by anybody, in any facet of life, who tells other people how to spend their money. I can wipe my boogers with the tickets if I want. Go away.

Buy preferred parking ahead of time. Bring Cousins subs, chips & soda. Much better/cheaper than ballpark food. Use the associated bank check in gate, much quicker.

In 2011 I sold 3 tickets for ONE playoff game for $3000 total.Club section behind plate. Paid for the rest of the playoffs!

Im selling this season too. Those Cubs fans will be paying a pretty penny!I'll fleece them & sell to my friends for face value.GOBREWERS!!!

Just make sure you get enough $ from those Cubs fans. We all care about that....

uhhh, just go or find some passionate Brewers fans to go. Sell to them for whatever. Who cares? Keep the enemy out.

I did find another Brewers fan to go halfzies on the playoff strip. Bought another 4 playoff games today. Hope we get the WC game here!

Let me explain something to you Rick.

SSH are the ones who assume the risk. They pay the Brewers every season without knowing if the team is any good, while you sit by and take on nothing. Four times in 40 years, they've been rewarded for doing that.

IMO, what they choose to do beyond that is up to them, not you.

It's really simple. If you want to be in the position to decide what to do with a playoff strip, become a SSH. Why haven't you done that? You must not be a very loyal fan. See how stupid that sounds?

Let’s move on from the back-and-forth about what season ticket holders should or shouldn’t do with their playoff tickets. This has been a productive thread regarding the playoff ticket options, price, and overall process. Still a lot of playoff tickets left to be purchased this week, lets steer the focus back on that process.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

As a 10-pack holder I was very pleased with the process today. In the past I was only able to get one game in the NLDS and NLCS. Now that they allow 20-game and higher SSHs to buy one day before, I was able to buy four tickets for the Wild Card and all three NLDS games. I got Club level seats for all four games, which is my preferred level! This is much better than the ticket lottery.

Also, I'm glad I read this thread yesterday to realize to purchase all of my tickets in one transaction. There was verbiage on the log-in page that indicated this, however I don't know if they updated it from yesterday or not. Here's what it said: "Please Note: There is a limit of 4 tickets per game, per account, and once you have completed a purchase through this link, your account number/password will no longer be valid for additional purchases through this opportunity. "

Made it through the 10-pack pre-sale today. Pretty smooth and I'm happy with my seats.

I bought terrace box for the WC and NLDS game 1 and 2. I splurged and got loge infield for NLDS game 5.

Of course I'd be happy with getting a refund for game 5 because the Brewers already advanced!

That was there, however it was not in the email that went out, and I (and I assume many others given the volume of issues) just went to buy now immediately without reading. I'm not sure it would have made a difference had I seen it because of their lame processing system. I hate all sites where you can't open new tabs to do things.

[sarcasm]Can't wait to get some tickets on Thursday, should make a good penny selling to Cubs fans.[/sarcasm]

About the only way I'll be able to afford World Series tickets. :laughing

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

For the WS games at Wrigley because it will be your fault if the team loses in the NLDS in this scenario

Part of me hopes they don't make it to the World Series because that's a lot of money...probably $2,000 for the trip, mostly in ticket cost. No way I wouldn't go though.

Everyone should be buying tickets whether they can go or not. If you can't go shred them to make sure a Cubs fan can't get them.

I am curious for the 10-pk holders, did anyone search best available? What was left? Curious what will be left for the public.

I did not search for best available because I was pretty set on paying no more than terrace box. But, the seats I was able to get were pretty good (low rows in sections not far from home plate) so the impression I got was that there were plenty available. I only bought for the WC game and NLDS game 1.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
