Miley looks to be a great teammate......always engaged and enthusiastic.... .seems like we have a lot of those guys.

Everything about the guy has been impressive. I shook my head in wonder when we picked him up, I was wrong...

I would say 73 IP of ERA is 100% completely worthless and means nothing. Now I expected Miley to be a 4.50 ERA type talent, he has been a 3.5 to 4 ERA talent so he has definitely been better than expected but his actual ERA means jack and squat. It just shows how useless the stat is for judging pitching.

I get it, but he also seems like a guy FIP might underestimate because of all the ground balls and soft contact.

I don't trust the 73 innings of 2.5 ERA, but he has been really good.

I'm not going by just FIP though, I'm also looking at the xStats versions which do account for how hard hit it is. No composite ERA stat gets him under a 3.50, if one is an outlier sometimes it is the others missing something on a pitcher, when they all say a certain level it is almost never sustainable. ERA takes almost 3 years of data to become meaningful, it just isn't a stat people should be using for evaluating players in a single season.

Always love the fact Joey Meyer owns it when he was wrong, very refreshing I must say. (And don't worry Joey, you had a lot of company on that position.)

LOL, I've been wrong a ton this year. Not necessarily a great look for me, but the Brewers are 21 over and a likely playoff team, so I'm ok with it ;)

Domingo Santana is proving me wrong lately, too, and I couldn't be happier.

We can be a bunch of negative Nellies because so often this team disappoints. But this year has been a lot of fun so far!! :)

I think mostly people are just appreciating what he's done for the team this year. I don't think anyone is saying he's an awesome pitcher, or that he's going to continue to be a 2.50 ERA guy. He's really come through for the Brewers this year when they needed him to, no more, no less.
