NFL week 1

Not sure how we want to do NFL game threads but a fun start to the season. Browns don't lose! They didn't win, but a tie is a step in the right direction. Also saints lost too!

 

On gronks long completion at the end of the first half I'm shocked they didn't review that. Texans probably screwed up not calling a time out, but still. Though who knows what would have come out of it since nobody knows what a catch is anymore.

I'm basically on the anti-Saints bandwagon because of owning their first. Seeing them lose to a supposed-to-be-bad Bucs team today while playing zero defense makes me very happy. Considering the Saints were in the top 3-5 of a lot of Power Rankings this preseason, that might be the surprise of week 1 so far.

The Browns broke their losing streak in the Browniest way possible.

 

I find myself rooting for the Falcons and Panthers just to decrease the Saints’ playoff odds.

I am right there with you on the anti-Saints bandwagon. That defense looked "worst-in-the-league" level against Tampa and Fitzmagic. The Saints offense is going to be good with a healthy Brees, but they are one 39-year-old QB injury away from the Teddy Bridgewater Dink-and-Dunk era. If Bridgewater has to play meaningful games, they'd be lucky to be .500.
