Hey everyone, I created an "Other MLB Games" In Game thread if anyone wants to post about other games with playoff implications. Seemed to be some support for that last night in the IGT so we will try it out and see what happens. Cubs, Dodgers, Cards, etc. Might be a pain to talk about a different game outside of the IGT but we will test it out and see. Go Brewers.

No Sunday lineup, please. Let's go for a sweep!

A Sunday lineup for this team isn't THAT bad. I could see cain getting a day off and one of the lefty 3b. Perez or broxton in cf. I doubt aguilar gets the day off against a lefty. I'm a touch more concerned about the pen. JJ is probably down today, maybe soria and maybe knebel. I think we'll have to use other relievers today unless Davies goes 7, which is highly unlikely.

Definitely not a "Sunday Lineup"

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

It seems like a B bullpen day with the Cubs series starting tomorrow. They are all big now though, a win today is one you don't have to get down the road and I would much rather relax and enjoy the division race the last couple of weeks without worrying about the wildcard anymore. So maybe they use Hader only if he is needed for a save in the 9th. A sweep sure would get the fans excited about that Wrigley series, I can't remember the last sweep we have had but being due doesn't seem to mean much with this years team. They have turned Sunday around recently though. A 12-1 type win with Davies going 7 would be pretty nice.

I agree in general that this team really doesn't have any "bad" lineups at this point, however, I'd wait until a Sunday with a righty starter to sit Cain:

Cain 2018 Splits

vs. LHP: .375/.460/.558

vs. RHP: .282/.377/.385

Cain 2015-17 Splits

vs. LHP: .324/.383/.545

vs. RHP: .290/.346/.410

Give guys their rest, but make sure it's on days advantageous to their splits. But again, any lineup versus pretty much any pitcher doesn't deserve the unreal backlash the whole Yelich debacle got this week.

I concur with being greedy, snagging 1 more game if possible on the Cubs day sets you up to only need to win the Cubs series and being just 1/2 game back with 2 weeks to play. A very exciting scenario one that puts more pressure on the Cubs then us I think since they will be the ones trying not to completely choke away a nice lead everyone always expected them to have.

Getting Davies back, pretty rested, might be as good as a deadline day pickup for the Crew, frankly.

2nd half Davies historically is night and day better than first half Davies. If we can get that guy and Gio could just possibly end up being what Hamels has been in Chicago, sure feel a lot better about our rotation than we did in August.
