Biloxi Box Score

It wasn't the prettiest of wins for Biloxi - but still a win. The Shuckers are up 2-1 in their playoff series vs Pensacola.

On Friday, the Shuckers had managed just two hits, a walk and one run in the first seven innings. Biloxi had kept the game within a run despite issuing nine walks, giving up five hits, and committing two errors on the night. Then it was time for the Pensacola staff to implode. Blue Wahoo pitchers gave up four walks and a double, which lead to two runs and a Biloxi lead - which they would not relinquish.

As noted, Biloxi pitchers gave up a lot of base runners on the night. Trey Supak walked six in only three innings. Thankfully, Pensacola batters left 12 runners on base.

Keston Hiura had two of Biloxi's three hits, including the key 8th inning double. Troy Stokes, Jr. had the other.

The Shuckers and Blue Wahoos return to Biloxi tomorrow (Saturday, September 8) for game four in the series. A victory by Biloxi would move them on to the Southern League Championship Series.
