I think whoever was gonna lose this game was gonna get tossed. this K zone is bad.

That’s a huge hit. If only the Rockies could make a comeback.

I really don't care who wins those games. You could probably make a case for the Dodgers winning being better as they likely still have better odds of winning the division. Neither is really a bad outcome.

We don’t want the Dodgers to win. We want them to miss the postseason. Kershaw in the WC game against us? RIP.

You are right that they benefit us regardless, but the Dodgers losing is a better deal. Ideally we would want the team that is already leading the division to win and knock the WC chaser into the oblivion. I’d rather the Dodgers now be 3.5 out instead of the Rockies 2 out and the Dodgers 2.5 out.

I agree on being against LAD. First, they're a better team than both AZ and COL talentwise, so better to have them not in. Plus, they're already currently behind. Best case scenario right now is Col winning all games vs AZ and LAD thus eliminating our WC competition

Good point, don't want to face Kershaw in a one and done game.

Not nearly as concerned with any of the other teams still alive as far as their #1 pitcher...

I’ll take on Kershaw in a one gamer too. Who cares? Might as well beat em all.

Picked up a game on the cards and a half game on the cubs, who are currently still in the top of the 2nd in DC. Weekend forecast has to be keeping them at the park tonight - not much hope of getting a doubleheader in without delays tomorrow or sunday.

Good, make them suffer as much as humanly possible...

I agree. I'm kinda hoping those teams generally split their games and stay right around each other. If we keep playing well, we should finish well above all 3 if that happens.

I generally would prefer the Dodgers don't make the playoffs of the 3 if I'm choosing though, so from that perspective I'd rather the Rockies win.

Brewers had three hits and won 4-2. Nice to win when you’re not firing on all cylinders.

I would love to see the Dodgers not make it simply to see the Machado and Dozier trades backfire on them. That is probably unfair, but whatever.

lol

I can relate to that... I like that reasonng.

Well sure, I'll take Clayton Kershaw in a WC game if I have no other choice to at least be playing, but if I do have a choice I'll take Clayton Richard instead. :laughing

Honestly though no way of even knowing if the Dodgers would have the luxury of lining up Kershaw for a WC game. If they need a win on the last day of the season just to get there and his turn is up they're not going to wait and save him.
