Then buy a ticket and go to the game.

I completely agree with this which is why I typically never express an opinion on this topic while sitting on my couch. The one thing I will say is the Brewers-Cubs games I have gone to over the past couple of years haven’t exactly been a great fan experience. At one of the games last year, with the exception of one other couple nearby, my wife and I were the only Brewers fans within three rows in either direction. Sitting at Miller Park in the middle of arrogant Cubs fans isn’t exactly a great ballpark experience. We’ve been to a handful of Brewers-Cubs games at Wrigley, and for whatever reason those experiences have actually been better.

Totally agree on this. It is not a positive family experience at all to go to a game against the Cubs at Miller Park. People don’t want to spend the money and take their family to a game where the opposing fans act the way they do. It’s hard to criticize other Brewers fans for not going to Cubs games because they aren’t attending the game for the same reasons as the rest of us. The experience is less than stellar when they come into town.

It's because most Cubs fans are out on parole.

With BA's point about Davies being similar to a late-season acquisition, how would you have felt if Davies actually was here via a trade and this was his first start as a Brewer? Would you feel like it was a good pickup?

A 25-year old who went 17-9 with a 3.9 ERA last year, and is controllable through 2022? Where do I sign up?

If the 2017 version of Zach Davies is here for the month of September, that is a huge pickup. That is also a big if, though.

Shall be interesting to see what we do at SS this winter. Even if we go with Arcia as the main guy we need a better back-up plan if he continues to be terrible at the plate.

I'm no Perez guy but he's not the worst insurance policy now that 2b and 3b should be covered. solid D and mediocre hitting. yea there's better options but thats not the worst. Just hope arcia can get to 250 type basic mediocrity

Yup, refuse to go to games against the Cubs at Miller Park. Done it twice, both Brewer wins. The only times I've felt unsafe at a baseball game were those two games and then the knife fight I walked past in the Dodger Stadium parking lot.

I was hoping for something closer to a deserving regular as a backup option. Yah, Perez isn’t bad...but do we really want him starting daily if Arcia sucks? Arcia needs to do more than hit .250...he needs to show a little power.

I'm not really sure in the long run how serviceable Schoop is going to be at SS, but if he can be average I don't hate the idea of Schoop at SS, Shaw at 2nd, and Moose at 3rd.

I would’ve loved to go to the game today but with school starting, it’s just not a good day for it. I have had fine experiences with other Cubs games I’ve went to but can tell I’m in the minority on that end. I don’t see a huge issue as they help us make some cash each and every year. Just win and they’ll be quiet.

If I'm the Rangers I'm legitimately pretty annoyed with Hamels. I get having some degree of change of scenery improvement, but when you go from a completely washed up turd to a reborn bonafide ace literally overnight just by putting on a new uniform and entering a pennant race, I definitely question how much he was giving the Rangers.

I went to the 3 game series vs the Cubs at Miller Park in June. Not one issue, except for excessive celebration by a couple of 14 or15 year old boys 2 rows up. They deserved to be beaten, but that is beside the point. That was game #1, I really hoped they were at game #2 and 3 as we won those two games.

We were not sitting in the nosebleeds, we were on level one, which is maybe why we didn't encounter any of the idiots.

I think it comes down to all fan bases have idiots in them (even the Brewers). The five drunk Padres fans, yes they have fans, were unbearable a few weeks back. Ended up moving because of them. I think part of it is that the Cubs are a rivalry, they’re really good, and their fans know it. That is gonna rub our fans the wrong way of course.
