Daily bullpen unavailability

NYChez

If they need Hader tonight you can bet he will be available. They didn't take him,out last night just to give the Dodgers a little hope.

If the game calls for it all,of the high leverage guys will be good to go.....only possible exception is JJ and even he has the kind if rubber arm that could allow him to go if needed.

Hope the bullpen is ready for a lot of work today. Gio and Guerra should each get a turn through the order.

Also, posted this in the game thread but it will get buried there:

Found what I was looking for:

On September 10th, 2016, Chacin pitched 2 innings in relief. He started a game and pitched 6 effective innings 4 days later.

On August 8th, 2009, Chacin pitched 2 innings in relief. He started a game and walked 6 guys in 2.2 innings (4 ER) 3 days later.

He has never made 2 starts in a 4-day period until today.

This isn't the perfect thread for it but it's indirectly related. I like what the Brewers did with their roster overall but this still makes me nervous.

I love that this is absolutely wrong. LOVE IT!

Your obsession with my posts is getting weird dude.

It's more your obsession with being right and also high and mighty. Also, that post was from 11 days ago!

You have some strong opinions too but you need to just stick the opinions and not make it about the poster. I often don't even notice who said certain things or whom I'm replying to, and I'm sure most other people here do the same thing, but you're turning this into a weird personal vendetta and I have no interest in putting up with that sort of pettiness. I'm sure nobody else here wants to read it either. Is the original post above an example of an "obsession with being right and also high and mighty?"

Would it help you understand the issue with these behaviors if I had quoted your posts about not using Peralta, which appeared in multiple threads, and reveled in how wrong they were? Or how about if I just went the blue font route and said "Good thing they're not going to use Peralta except in an emergency!", like you did when I said I wanted to PH for a pitcher and the pitcher ended up getting a hit? Maybe I should just quote your posts and add "in my opinion" and told you I "fixed if for you" - as if it's not a given that most posts here contain opinions? How about if I said "boy, you sure were high and mighty about wanting to add a starting pitcher like Cobb in the off season and saying the other win-now moves made no sense without a potential TOR starter"?

For someone who whines so much about other posters, you sure do a lot of inappropriate stuff yourself. Try to stick to the opinions being debated. And if you are debating and you get the sense that the other person "has to be right", chances are you're guilty of the same thing if it's an ongoing debate in the first place, so take a look in the mirror.

I hear ya. So much of it is heat of the moment stuff. I can certainly do better. I think it's just the absolutes that tend to get me engaged. And every time I have "hot taked" something that was wrong, I have owned it and admitted it. I guess it would just be nice to see a little more of that on this board. But pride is a tough thing to overcome.

At the end of the day, it's a fan message board. No matter how much you come off as saying something is the wrong decision or won't happen, you are a fan, and therefore what you are saying is likely an implied opinion. Sometimes its just tough to have to read between the lines to understand that perspective.

Cool. We're all here for the Brewers. I'm sure this has some background in when I first came here and was rude. This forum is very different from most of other forums and it took me a few weeks to understand what's appropriate here. But I think you tend to assume that every stated opinion is an absolute, which is not always the case just because someone didn't qualify it with a disclaimer. Can't assume tone on a message board. I've lived in NYC for 11 years and I've definitely become more direct, but it's still about debating opinions and not debating posters for me.

You are 100% correct, and it's very obvious that you are a passionate fan and have a lot of knowledge about the Brewers and baseball in general. We all need to remember at times that there are very few absolutes in baseball. I am very guilty of that.

You're guys new friendship has to be worth at least a run today.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

On the dodgers side, I know they used everyone yesterday...but nobody through a ton of pitches besides Jansen. Not sure if they'd push Jansen, but only him and other SP are clearly unavailable today. They probably try to avoid using Floro as well but everyone else shoudl be good to go.

On the Brewers side, Guerra and Peralta are 100% unavailable. Burnes/Hader/Knebel are probably unavailable. That leaves Miley to start, and Woodruff/Cedeno/Jeffress/Soria/callup coming out of the pen after Miley. Have to imagine Woodruff and Miley trying to bridge this game at minimum through 7 if they are effective.

Who's pitching the 9th?? :)

If JJ is pitching in the 9th we win. If not, we lose.

It's certainly his turn. He only pitched one inning in the last 3 days so he should be ready. It's using him when he's been worked so much and it's time to trust someone else that has irked me lately, but I don't expect him to be a complete disaster every time out or anything.
