Jimmy stinks but that ball isn’t on him. Rodgers is and has been an issue all season long. Unless he changes and is open to coaching again, the ride is over.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

But that's been him all year. A ball going through his hands in situations like that, 3rd down or red zone targets.
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Someone has to buy Rodgers the TB12 cookbook for Christmas, because he is not aging well. They might have to use one of those two firsts on offense just to get him some help. They’ve been neglecting that side of the ball for years. It’s no wonder the offense looks so disjointed.

The ball didn't go through his hands. The ball was so far behind him that Smith was able to get his hands between Graham's hands and tip it.

Rodgers has actually had a ton of time to sit in the pocket today ... no one is getting open, and when they do, he's missing them. Disjointed looking offense today, and Rodgers is the main culprit unfortunately.

Also the Bears are good.

I'm still sort of shocked at how the defense is playing given all the injuries. I had to look up three or four guys on the web just to see when/how they were acquired.

And possibly if Aaron Jones doesn't get hurt.

That pass was not that bad to Graham, but it was stellar coverage. Rodgers decided to take the shot in tight coverage vs. throwing it away and depending on 4th down.

It wasn’t a bad game overall considering all the injuries they have had. Their offensive line is so beat up it was pretty impressive Rodgers wasn’t killed out there. While he got time often his guys either didn’t get open or the offensive line blew it so many other times they couldn’t make up for it.

I’ve said it many times, but these receivers just aren’t very good with Rodgers. When he scrambles they hardly ever work their way back to him like he needs them to. That or they won’t break off of their route soon enough.

This is not a good team (obviously) ... it’s also not a bad team.

I’m looking forward to when these teams meet again in Week 1 at Soldier Field. The Packers will have added two first round picks and the Bears will have added none. The clock is ticking on their cheap QB and when they have to pay him $30 million, they won’t be able to keep that defense together.

They wouldn't have had to rely on 4th down, they take the 3 points there and then give the ball to the Bears with 3 minutes left, all 3 of their timeouts and the 2 minute warning. Rodgers has been unnecessarily conservative this year but when the time came to lean more to the conservative side he decided to try to force a throw and got burned.

"I've had two interceptions in however many attempts. I feel pretty good about the way I've taken care of the football this season. We just haven't made enough big plays over the year. That's why the completion percentage is what it is and yards per attempt is what it is and touchdowns are where they're at, so that stuff's disappointing. I've had interception streaks in the past. I had a long one at home -- 500-plus. Hopefully I'll start a new one."

I know some will roll their eyes and think I'm reading too much into it, and that's okay. But it really rubs me the wrong way that every time he talks of something positive, it's "I." Every time he talks of something negative, it's "We."

I didn’t have a problem with it when he was an All-World QB. Now, his arrogance is starting to trouble me, but it is what it is. I’m grateful for all he’s done for this team and he’s going to be around for a while. All I can do is hope for the best. There’s no point in getting down on the guy.

The Packers probably win this game if they have Khalil Mack and the Bears don’t.

He would be on IR if the Packers signed him, but this game came down to 5-6 plays and none involved Mack who's sacks were non factors in the outcome. At the end of the first half, deep in their own territory, Rodgers tried hitting a covered Adams downfield on 2nd and 3 and turned down a sure first down had he run it instead. On the next play, Williams stumbled on a well blocked running play that should have been a first down. A first down there and they can run out the clock and the halftime score is 7-3.

Then after the Pack recovers the fumble, Rodgers misses wide open receivers well downfield on 2nd and 3rd down. The second was a sure touchdown. Then Scott hits a mediocre punt that's poorly covered and Vitale gets called for holding setting up the Bears in Packer territory totally negating any momentum they had. Bears scored, stopped the Pack and when they needed a booming punt from Scott, he hits a short line drive to one of the most dangerous return men in the league. His return basically salted it away.

You’re right - he probably would be on IR right now if he were a Packer.

And the Packers had chances to win despite the plays that Mack disrupted, but he’s still a difference-maker.

I missed today's game, but sounds like it was the necessary final nail on this season. Philbin is likely replaced, and hopefully a full fresh start from the staff and strategy. What a stinker.

This won't happen, but I would actually be OK with Matthews back on a contract that pays him just as a rush specialist. He's become the lightning rod, but I still think he has value on a team, just at a veteran role player rate rather than what he gets now.

When we're picking apart the pronouns guys use and their facial expressions it's just nothing but revisionist jibber jabber.

I think everybody needs to step off the psychology chair and just admit it's a young team that hasn't learned how to win. I fully expect a vastly improved team next year, which I did not expect coming into this one. Felt they had one foot in rebuild and one foot in 'we can do this' mode. This year they got honest about what they are.

I give Matthews credit for staying healthy all season. I wouldn’t mind having him or Cobb back next year ... just at 1/3 of their current price.

The whole point was a preference to see Rodgers be more self-accountable. He's had a poor season.

I totally get that not everyone was going to agree with it but calling it revisionist doesn't really make sense by the definition of that word.

Bears have only allowed two QB's to achieve QB rating over 100 - Rodgers and Brady.
