Playing in a sandbox. And that rookie pitcher is holding his own this season. It’ll pay dividends.

I know the experience he's getting is good. Just tough to give it to him with a playoff-contending team.

Well we are facing one of the options to replace him. So... yeah. Grass isn’t always greener and this guy could be a keeper for years to come. These opportunities for Milwaukee haven’t come that much. I expect Burnesnext season to get a chance too and won’t complain if there are times he looks like a rookie.

I just think it's kinda junky that they have stuck with Peralta despite his blow-up games, yet really haven't given Woodruff any sort of chance to establish himself in the rotation this year. Pretty curious decision.

the Marlins had an OF of Yelich Ozuna and Stanton at the same time.

And a top 5 C. Solid 2B in Gordon. Other good hitters in Bour, Deitrich (assumig they didn't come back in the trades, idk for sure). Can't think of their SS. Yea, not sure they should've blown that all up. Whole different team down there if the Ace P wouldn't have passed away, instead it made them think they didn't have anymore money to get pitching and just gave up.

I wonder how many Brewer innings the contact play has killed? If you just stall the 3b a bit you likely don't get a double play there with Schoop running. Would rather have it be first and third w/ one out (or 2nd and third w/ one out) than first and second w/ one out.

Got a good feeling about Thames here.

Gah, nevermind. Woulda been a run w/out the contact play. Whatever.

Along with Realmuto at C and Bour at 1B. Yet they were horrible. Pitching still wins championships.

If the tragedy with Fernandez never happens, they’d probably be a playoff team right now.

Tells you what they think of Woodruff.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I know ... that doesn't make the decision any less curious, though. There must be something internal, because based on pure stuff, there aren't many pitchers in the system that have better than Woodruff.

DFA Schoop and bring up Sogard.

Please tell me that should be in blue. Because otherwise ... barf.

DFA Schoop and replace him with a chair in the batters box (who could potentially work the pitcher or even draw a walk). Is that better?

Who has also held his own when given the chance at the MLB level. I'm curious what's up too

Well results do matter too. Freddy has had good numbers even with a couple oops games. Woody never seems to make the most of his chances.
