2018-08-24: Pirates (Musgrove) at Brewers (Miley) 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 7-6 in 15 innings -- Crazy 3-Run Comeback Walk-Off Win]

Eye Black

If they send those guys down they may not be eligible to be recalled for the Cubs series. Would suck to score the winning run and get DFA'd, but DFA-ing Lyles is the most likely option to bring up a fresh arm.

And it might be Wilkerson up as he is on the Temporary Inactive list at AAA.

Although the extra innings part of the following game weren’t extraordinary, the ninth inning was amazing. The biggest one-inning comeback I’ll probably ever witness in person.

That was an incredible win, game 1 non televised, of a double header. I only remember finding out when I came home from school and saw the highlights on ESPN. I doubt you'll see a bigger 9th inning comeback ever.

I remember that one! Weren't there about 500 people at that game since it was a makeup doubleheader?

I believe the attendance was slightly above 3,000. All tickets were $10 for both games of the doubleheader and they only sold tickets on the lower level of County Stadium. We sat in the second row behind the Brewers dugout (the only time I ever sat that close). A very surreal set of games to be at. I don’t think there will ever be a situation like that again.

My brother and I were 20-game ticket holders back then. He had to work that day, but planned on meeting me for the second game. Our in-person records were really good that year (despite the team being bad), and he arrived at our seats in the middle of the 9th and said he wasn’t going to count this game in his season record since he would only be there for half an inning. When they came back and won he changed his mind...

Awesome game for me, got to watch the whole thing while holding my crying newborn daughter but did not mind at all. I could not believe we even got it to Braun with a chance to win but when he K'd I thought that was it. Too little faith in Air Jordan Lyles, then Kratz finds a hole with his only weapon, the ground ball to the left side. Awesome. Our last multi-run, extra inning comeback was in 1992 against Boston. The game featured 12th inning heroics from Scott Fletcher in his only season in Milwaukee, and Jim Gantner's only career walk-off HR in the 13th.
