If the Reds hit a dinger here....

He wont use JJ in a tie game yesterday, but have him warming up with a 4 run lead 16 hours later.

He pitched 3 innings in two days prior to yesterday...not at all shocking. It is mid-August, not mid-September. Too early to kill the pen.

Freddy Peralta just pitched 7 innings in 2 hours. I don't think it would kill him. And if he is worried about burning the pen today was the perfect day to leave Peralta in to start the 8th.

It isn't the same.

That's how it has been all year and how it happens across baseball.

Where is Dan Jennings!?!?!?

Going with Jeffress....

If Scooter hits one out now, will people wonder why Jennings wasn't brought in?

Jennings was the right call last night. It just didn't work out. Those things happen.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
