This game is close to being over.

The Brewers won the NL Central in 2011 by 6 games. It was never lower than 4.5 in the past few weeks. They were tied for the lead at the All-Star game. The season does not fit the they always start strong and then fade narrative that seems so common here.

 

One single season of exception 7 years ago, in which they won 96 games and still didn't get passed game 6 of the NLCS, hardly disproves the narrative.
