Perez just secured his starting position for another month! lol

One of the benefits of having Schoop is that we hopefully will only ever see Perez against LHP, when I'm not unhappy to see him

"What are they doing starting Shaw against a lefty? And why is Hernan Perez ever starting?!??"

That wasn't me before the game. No sir, not at all. I would never.

He's been terrible against LHP this season, but in his career Shaw actually has better numbers vs. LHP than Schoop or Moustakas (still a dramatic platoon split of course)

Here’s an obscure fact.

I was at the game against the Dodgers last year when Shaw hit his other GS.

Perez followed that one with an HR too.

Sadly, the Brewers ended up losing that game in the ninth. We don’t need a rerun of that part.

Sure is nice to put up a big first inning. Now, don't shut down the offense and/or have an implosion on the mound that lets Colorado back in the game. I'd really appreciate a nice, relaxing win tonight.

Yea I'd really appreciate to not have to sweat this game for once.

This would be 5 straight days off for Hader if it's a blowout. I assume some will be calling for Counsel's head if he doesn't pitch tonight right? Or are we going to wait and see how he does in his next game before deciding to complain about it?

I think we’ll be seeing Hader tonight.

Peralta is going to have problems going more than 5, and there isn’t really a reliable middle reliever out there right now.

That's why it would be nice to have Hauser or Woodruff up right now instead of Barnes. I'd like another guy that can go multiple inning. Both would be good in that role. Barnes not so much.

Throw Hader for one inning just to get him some work, and that way, he won't be out of commission for 6 days if we need him again in the next couple of games...
