Debating bringing my parents to this game tonight. It has the makings of a stinker with them getting in so late (or early this morning).
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'm hoping it won't be much of a factor. They did send Guerra home yesterday, which was a good move.

I'd like to see them do something scheduling wise about the getaway game times. Either everyone does it or no one does it.

I think I saw something that LA and other teams have it in their stadium contracts with the city on only having X amount of day games on weekdays due to the effect on rush hour traffic. So sometimes nothing can be done.

In a weird quirk I believe the Wrigley neighborhood has a rule on how many night games are allowed each year. Opposite of everyone else.

MLB could do more if the cities are forcing the schedule - either work with them to up the day games allowed, or make sure the schedule is giving the traveling team an off day following the series.

Any guesses on roster moves today with pitchers? Albers and Williams have both been in a rough patch. Maybe Albers isn't really healthy yet and needs another 10 day, IDK

I'd DL him until the rosters expand. Go get Barnes or Houser.

Back to back 4 game series against two non-divisional opponents is weird. The Brewers should have had an off day yesterday or last Thursday. Not sure who green lit that scheduling quirk.

I'd like to see Woodruff instead of Williams on this roster. He could in theory go a couple more innings when needed and gets a few more ground balls.

Not sure on Albers. Admittedly, I haven't see very many games but watching Albers pitch yesterday his velocity seemed fine and he had some pretty good movement on quite a few pitches. It just seemed like he was missing spots and the movement he did have was pushing the ball over the plate too much.

My family and I fly in tomorrow morning. Haven't been "home" in quite some time so we haven't seen the Brewers play at Miller Park in quite some time. We'll be at the Thursday game against the Padres.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I think they could bring up Orf or Bandy for some bullpen relief.

Putting Schoop at SS is a gamble after he kicked that routine grounder yesterday and has seemed so out of sorts at the plate. If he boots anything today and doesn’t produce at the plate he could be hearing boos in his first home game. Not good for someone who didn’t seem that excited about the trade in the first place.

I have my fingers and toes crossed that he does something positive quickly.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Only casual fans are going to react like that, and truly who cares what the casual fans think? Maybe Mark A does in terms of beer & merch sales, but whether or not Schoop has a slow start in a Brewers uniform will not effect Mark's bottom line!

Anyone who has been paying serious attention to Baseball in the last few years knows what Schoop brings to the table. They also know that Schoop is a dead red fastball hitter and thus they aren't going to be phased by a small sample of appearances vs Rich Hill & Clayton Kershaw!!!!!

Schoop at SS

Left right left right all the way down

FINALLY!!! I shouldn't be this excited that CC finally learned to stagger LH and RH hitters, but better late than never I guess.

It only took most of the year to do something anyone should be able to figure out

Our first showing of the "Defense Be Damned" Bar League Softball line-up. Sweet!

I honestly love it - this lineup plus Braun on the bench...and I like Schoop lower in the lineup - had a difficult time understanding why he was instantly the cleanup hitter, particularly with his obp issues
