Sarcasm doesn't negate the point that it's a lot easier to make a deal today than tomorrow... (setting aside the time crunch)

 

I’d rather make no deals than a deal Stearns isn’t comfortable making. It’ll serve us better as a franchise. Pitching hasn’t been our issue. It’d be a cherry on top if we can swing it.

 

I agree 100%. And missing out on Archer doesn't bother me that much - as I've said several times, I see big red flags there - it's Gausman that intrigued me. But, as I've also said before, I wanted the Brewers to sign Cobb - so what do I know?

I wish we had gotten Ramos, that is basically my only disappointment.

 

I know he's been hurt but he could have been a big boost at catcher when he returns for a very small cost.
