Burning through Burnes, Hader and Jeffress tonight. I hope Soria and Albers show up ready to pitch tomorrow.

At this point they need to go all out to secure this win. Obviously a nice impact of a big hit from Thames last inning would have been likely not needing Jeffress right now.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Soria, Albers, Knebel, Williams... BP is in good shape

Knebel may end up pitching more than an inning. If he gets ready fast enough

Jeffress not putting two runners on base including the tying run for free to start the inning would have been helpful also.

Come on JJ. We need this one with Bumgarner going tomorrow

Brewers seem to do ok vs big names. It's the MLB debuts that kill us.

Bumgarner has a career 2.25 ERA vs. Milwaukee. He owns us.

Villar has played good defense at 2B this season. If he just hit from the left side better this year, he would be golden.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Soria is going to take Jeffress job. He’s walked a tightrope for awhile now.

Poor Posey, he might as well stand on 1b, as JJ is just buying time.

Thought they pinch ran for him?

That makes sense. I guess I just assumed the bench was directing the throws over to get Knebel ready.

I don't think anyone really has "jobs" in that pen, besides Knebel. You are just as likely to see Jeffress in the 6th as you are in the 8th. I'm sure Soria will slot in the same way. Matchups and leverage outs

If Jeffress deserves to lose his role, Knebel definitely deserves to lose his. That last inning notwithstanding Jeffress has had far better command this year.

Meant more so that Soria will end up getting these types of spots late in games over Jeffress.
