Dantel Ramirez is interesting. What is the down low there that you ranked him top 25?

Edit:not being a dink or trying to ambush here, legitimately interested in the answer to my question above.

When I started my list one of the first names I put down was Clayton Andrews at 25. Was super intrigued by him at draft time as an athletic 5'6" lefty with crazy numbers & he has continued to post the same in his small sample so far.

Dantel was a similar case at 24. While there isn't nearly as much intel out there on him what I liked is he has a great K/BB rate so far at 31/5 in 27.2 innings & from going over his limited game log it seems he is being used in mostly high leverage spots (4-1 record, 5/7 save opportunities in 15 relief appearances). It's entirely speculative of course but that indicates to me that the organization sees something they like in his makeup. He is also from San Pedro de Macoris which always gets a pitcher a couple extra points in my book.

Awesome! Thanks for the follow up.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Cam Roegner is the new Brent Suter.

I like the numbers... and Suter turned out to be a very solid rotation contributor pre-torn UCL.

Not a criticism either way, but given your affinity for guys who know how to draw walks and the fact that you give more credence to Helena stats than some, I was shocked to not see Pablo Abreu on your list. I half expected he'd be in the top 10.

This was tough just to narrow down to the top 50. Lot's of similar ranked players in my eyes...but very very deep...and very interesting at the lower levels with guys with high ceilings.

I've been burned by the Helena/rookie stats a bit... so I tend to wait and see. Turang's pro sample size is so small, I didn't list him. I did drop Ernesto Wilson Martinez because the power dried up.

Stokes is #3 and a few spots above Ray because he's doing what did last year. More of a track record. He's the guy I'm grateful the Crew kept.

I don't know what my list will look like but I do know that Jeff Pickler will be #1.

Thanks again for helming this yet again, reilly. Always interesting to see how all the votes play out. We moved some serious depth the last few days which combined with the graduations makes the back end of the list a lot more wide open for sure.

1. LHP Cam Roegner (NR) - Sheer domination pushes him to top

I'm curious why a Roegner that is 25 in A+ ball is that much higher than Harber that is age 24 in A+ ball? ERA same. Whip Roegner better by a bit. K/9 Harber better by a bit. Ave against better by Harber.

I was expecting you to have Harber at #10 at least in your poll.

17-25 on my list are more recent acquisitions (other than Ponce), but that’s a group of guys I’m excited about. Despite some graduations and trades, I still really like our system. The continual replenishment to the system under the Stearns regime has me pumped. And there are more. Still a very strong list.

1. Corbin Burnes - Made quick work out of the minors. Doing well in his transition to the bullpen. Best SP prospect for the Brewers since Gallardo.

2. Keston Hiura - Production has slowed a little at AA, but did you notice he has only DH'd twice for Biloxi?

3. Brice Turang - More walks than strikeouts. Quickly moved to Helena which probably means A ball next year as a 19 year old.

4. Tristen Lutz - Is doing the 19 year old A Ball thing now. Solid numbers that look better considering how young he is.

5. Corey Ray - Great power, great speed. Strikeouts too much. Needs more time.

6. Zack Brown - Breakout year. AFL candidate.

7. Lucas Erceg - One of few LH prospects in the upper levels of the Brewers system. Solid year so far.

8. Mauracio Dubon - A middle IF of Hiura and Dubon will be fun at AAA next year.

9. Jacob Nottingham - Has improved his stock significantly this year, hit well at AAA and improved defensively per reports.

10. Payton Henry - Good hitting catcher that has thrown out 46% of base stealers.

11. Trey Supak - Another SP who has taken a step forward. Just turned 22.

12. Marcos Diplan - If he improved his command he would be ranked a lot higher.

13. Aaron Ashby - Moved quickly to Wisconsin and has done well.

14. Troy Stokes Jr. - Similar to Corey Ray but not as high a ceiling, strike outs a lot. Probably LF only.

15. Quintin Torres Costa - Righties are hitting .141 against him, Lefties are at .172. 54 SOs, 17 walks in 42 innings.

16. Caden Lemons - Prediction - Caden Lemons joins Helena in the next 2 weeks.

17. Micah Bello - Has transitioned to pro ball well. Hitting . 270, 15 walks in 115 ABs. Some power.

18. Carlos Rodriguez - Best hitter on DSL team. #28 ranked international signing from 2017. Inked for 1.355 million.

19. Je'von Ward - Solid start in Helena. Will see Wisconsin at 19 next year.

20. Joe Gray - Has not hit well in his Arizona Brewer debut season. Needs time.

21. Adrian Houser - Future bullpen arm, hard to rank the high floor players among high ceiling guys.

22. Nathan Kirby - Encouraging return from multiple surgeries. Pitch count is up to 70.

23. Cody Ponce - Probably destined for the bullpen, does he get added to the 40? My guess is no.

24. Jake Gatewood - Not sure where he would have ranked without the injury. Did take a step forward this year.

25. Justin Jarvis - Needs another year in Arizona, similar to Caden Lemons from last year.

26. Trent Grisham - 3rd disappointing season in a row.
