Pretty much everyone except Woodruff can probably go tomorrow. No Burnes, Jeffress or Knebel used, so I'm not worried about BP use tonight.

Looking like a good night to get a game back in the standings on the cubs. They got blasted by the dbacks tonight with a bad farrell start that was required due to their own 5 game, 4 day series right after the break against stl.

 

They are going to need more pitching help, particularly if Darvish gives them nothing of value over the next few weeks.

 

Reds rallied against the Cards with 2 out in the 9th too.

Bud Norris lost it for the Cardinals. Even better.

I didn't catch much of the game, but I generally liked the approaches of a lot of guys. Broxton had a good game, I was pleasantly surprised. Our 2-5 hitters...which were supposed to be our best hitters heading into the year, didn't do much offensively. I don't believe Yelich's hit was a hit, that was an error. I'll take it, but we didn't play well enough to deserve a 6-1 win.

 

On a lighter note, if Kratz is on first and Broxton hits a ball that should be an inside the park HR...at what point does Broxton catch Kratz on the bases? My money would be just past 3rd base...this dude is a whole new level of slow.
