He'll be gone as soon as the Brewers have a better option. It's going to take a little time to replace all the bad players on the team, but they will.

 

It's a shame because he could have been a good utility player if he'd take a pitch, but everyone figured him out after 2016 and he hasn't adjusted at all. It's kind of embarrassing.

Yeah, you can't underestimate the value of good defense. It's the kind of thing that just dings you in ways you don't always realize - such as greater pitch counts. Which leads to earlier exits. Which leads to more work from the relievers. Which leads to overused relievers.
