Turner looks like a homeless bum with his shirt half-unbuttoned and that scraggly looking beard. I expect a bird or something to pop out of that gnarly thing.

I was thinking Racoon, but yeah.

I'll do what I want. I'm not violating any rules by doing so.

Accusing those who support him of "showing enthusiast approval" of his actions is toeing a pretty fine line.

an enthusiastic reaction to a performance or speech in which people stand and clap to show how much they enjoyed or approved of it

He hadn't performed yet, so what would you call it?

Are we seriously giving Josh Hader a standing ovation....

Just pretend nothing happened.

Showing support for a guy going through a rough time. Classy fan move. The only one's not ready to move on are Twitter warriors. He apologized to the fans and his team, and had one of the most exciting nights of his life ruined by this. Not real sure what other punishment he needs to endure.

Agreed

Showing support for a guy going through a (self-imposed) rough time. That's it.

Seriously, what more do you want. Do you want him suspended? Released? Thrown in jail?

I expected that reception to be honest. I've been dreading all week the blog hot takes it's going to cause regarding "what it says about Milwaukee and our deep rooted racism." blah blah blah

Goodness gracious. What are you implying here, that the crowd was saying, "Hey, we totally approve of what you tweeted" by cheering?

That's garbage, and you know it. You know what they were doing and what the intent was behind it (support for a player on your team).

You know what would have been acting like it never happened? Doing nothing. So the crowd did not in fact act like nothing happened. They acknowledged it, and showed support (for the player, not the action), and I would imagine (most) will be moving on.

I’m sure it’s some quality journalism. I’ll pass.

Thought it was pretty clear. Not have fans give him a standing ovation because he said a bunch of racist and homophobic crap. Because that's exactly what they were clapping for.

Let it go. I've had the guy on ignore for some time now. He just exists to agitate. Any halfway intelligent human being understands what happened with the crowd tonight.

A lot of takes from blue check marks thus far that will develop into articles

So "I'll do what I want" applies to you and how you feel they should handle the situation, but does not in fact apply to the fans in attendance.

I'm more concerned Haders K/9IP is gowing down....

It's going up now.

It needed to be said so the 8th would go down the way it did.... Maybe if I didn't post that he would have still struck out the side... Naw, I am not a god, I just have god-like powers...

I put it on the same level as the "Aguilar is coming back to earth" stuff.

Despite my many differences of opinion over the years here with many posters, I don't think I've ever told anyone on here that they are flat out wrong. I'm not going to start tonight. You are certainly free to think what you want.

On a scale of 1-10, how confident are we in Knebel tonight?

Whatever number equates to "put Jeffress in instead".

That's my level of confidence in Knebel tonight also. When he has been off too long it seems he gets rustier than the usual bullpen guy.
