I am sorry but after looking at this staff i much rather see DS hold onto every Young Starter he can at this point. I hope that he does not rush into maybe a needless trade maybe he should be listening for offers for some of his players.

Selling would be a waste. We need MLB talent...not prospects that will mostly be at A+ and below. We don’t need prospects that might help in 4 years...maybe never.

This team is built to win now and Stearns better figure out how to put them over the top.

I've suggested Thames several times. There's really no room for him on the roster with Aguilar earning the first string job at first base and enough outfield depth where we don't need to be subjected to his terrible defense out there.

LOl at Kershaw striking out the side. I knew it was going to happen before I could log in.

I really don't know if this team is good enough to consider themselves "buyers." And it's not just based on the last week. This is a lousy lineup with a bad rotation than Johnson manages to get the most out of. The only good part about this team is the pen which has shown plenty of cracks and even at their best, a good pen alone isn't enough.

I know our record is still good but looking objectively at the roster and comparing it to the team that we're up against it feels like we played over our heads for a couple months.

I don't agree this team is built to win now. Too many holes for that to be true. Right now they are built for mediocrity which is the worse thing they can be.

I agree. It will be interesting to see how they try explaining this team imploding two consecutive years right at the all star break.

They're really not, though. Neither the rotation nor lineup is very good at all. I can understand getting MLB talent because we're not that far away but the more I see I just don't think they're there yet. I think they're probably in a much better position for 2019.

They aren’t selling, sorry....and they probably shouldn’t. We have a lot of promising players for next year. Burnes, Peralta, and Hiura. We can spend a bit in FA for either a C or SS. I’d put money on either Santana or Arcia rebounding.

There are a ton of reinforcements for next year and big rebound candidates. You aren’t selling with all that for next year or trade some prospects for major addition.

ToAdam:

Sure, you could trade a Thames or Jeffress. You ain’t getting much for either though so good luck there. If we are better positioned for 2019 why are we selling? I just said we aren’t selling.
