2018-07-21: Dodgers (Kershaw) at Brewers (Anderson) 6:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 4-2]

Eye Black

Funny enough if there was no standing ovation the Hader crud would never have even been mentioned in the IGT.

Brewers fans giving a standing ovation were making it a big deal.

I’m in favor of dropping the entire thing completely and acting like it never happened. Don’t see why you should be upset with me.

I was watching at a bar and couldn't hear anything, but I was pretty disappointed to see the camera panning across a crowd of proud, cheering fans when Josh Hader came out. Not the most inviting scene if you're a Brewers fan who happens to be a person of color or member of the LGBTQ community.

I wish they would have given him a curtain call after the two scoreless innings.

At least then you could've made the argument that it was deserved.

Standing O was not for Hadar's posts, obviously. Rather, it was largely a show of support for a Brewer after he showed contrition and sorrow for his hate filled words 7 years ago.

About time their luck changed. No shame in needing a few unearned runs to beat Kershaw. I think they bounce back. Last year I thought they were extremely lucky and overachieved, but this year I think they really are a clear top-5 team in the NL and probably top-3. They were a little lucky to have the best record in the NL, but they're sustainable as a 90-win team IMO. That's why I don't think this will play out the way it did last year.

Didn't love all the cheers for Hader. I'm not gonna like all the boos in other parks either. I think just being quiet shows you appreciate the gravity of what he said and why it's such a big deal.

Don't see why no one understands this. 30000 plus people weren't cheering for the content of the posts.

I hope this is the last in-game thread that turns into a "should we support Hader?" debate.

The guy may have done some dumb stuff, but he's one of the best relievers in the league, and is probably the most important player to this team's chances now and in the future. You're dang right I'm pulling for him.

We will definitely revisit the Hader debate during the first time he appears in a road game

thats true. I think Hader will embrace it and ying yang it back in the form of strikeouts, which will be good therapy for the opposing fans as they deal with their unwarrented anger. Sad.

I did mention on the boards that the Brewers would beat kershaw

Easy prediction. Although we have been shutout more than any other team, slightly less well known is that we have more victories against former Cy Young winners than all other teams.

Kershaw

Kluber

Greinke

Arietta twice

but toss in a no name with a 6.0 era and our goose is cooked.
