Ugh, another early hook on a starter pitching very well with a low pitch count. I get that the pen is well rested after the break, but Anderson and Suter don't exactly have a plethora of long starts on their records.

Keep in mind that Miley is still working his way back from injuries and might not be ready to go any deeper.

But, remember when the Brewers had a good bullpen?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yep, pulling Miley was a mistake.

It's been going on all year...

The bullpen is no longer magic, they have shown chinks in the armor, so CC needs to maybe re-evaluate how he is doing things.

Why not let Miley start the 7th, and if there is one guy who reaches, you pull him.

Now, when he hould probably be pulling Williams, he lets him ride.

For a guy who was absolutely terrified to let Taylor Williams pitch to a lefty when he was having a good night, Counsell sure has no qualms about doing it when he's getting rocked.

And there lies the mystery...

Yep, pulling Miley was a mistake. Williams getting shelled here.

When a good pitcher doesn't perform well I tend to blame the pitcher or give credit to,the hitters.

Not sure how CC could have known this was coming.

Perhaps. I stand behind the assertion that Miley should have come out for the 7th though. Pitch count was in the 80s, and he was keeping a good lineup off balance all night. This team has plenty of short starts that are justified. Why take the ball from a pitcher who's rolling?

CC doesn’t get the blame for “not seeing it coming”. He gets the blame for having a fresh bullpen and leaving a guy in after it’s obvious he doesn’t have it.
