So thankful Villar turned down that contract after his first year here. Even though he was safe and called out, I don't know why you run there.

Well Nottingham was coming up. Get in position to maybe score on a wild pitch.

Yes, this offense has weaknesses but going out and either trading for or spending 16M a year on a stud for every position isn't realistic. Coles has run his course.

I guess I just don't believe the coaches have that big of an impact. I mean does Coles not get credit for the ascension of Aguilar to the degree that we blame him for the predictable regression of guys like Pina? It's not his fault Braun is getting old, Shaw is playing hurt and a good chunk of the primary hitters have spent time on the DL. I mean, I'm fine with Coles getting fired as a shake up move but is that really going to change anything. I'm more on the side of the coin that says this team just lacks the overall talent level to compete at the highest level right now.

The offensive woes started way before the injuries. In fact, it started right around this time last year.

I'm not arguing that at all even though I was assured that Cain and Yelich were the magic elixir. As I said, fire Coles if you think that is the magic bullet. Maybe it is, I don't know. I happen to think the issue is the talent level.

After we get swept In this series, I’ve changed my tune and don’t think that we should be buyers this year. This team has too many holes to patch via trades.

So, an eight game stretch is enough for you?

It's hard damn work being a Brewers fan.

You are never as good as you think you are when things are going well and you are never as bad as you think you are when things are going bad.

This is last years offense with Cain/Yelich/SS replacing Santana/Braun/Arcia...

Thames has been hurt quit a bit and Shaw is Shaw...

We couldn't score runs the 2nd half of last year and the same is true with the current lineup. The dropoff in production from Santana/Braun/Arcia means we shouldn't be buyers this trade deadline as we still have too many holes to fill...

It shouldn’t take a little losing streak to realize this team shouldn’t be major buyers. Keep building. It’ll payoff.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Very true honestly.

Sad to say the Brewers are unlikely to ever have a bonafide contender with little holes. Even the 2011 team wasn’t good until the bullpen went nuts in the second half. Hard to predict how players will fair in the second half. The starters could turn a corner for all we know.

I’m not necessarily vouching for a big move, but this team is certainly pretty good and postseason good...in my opinion. Many ways to go about it and you won’t know which is best now.

The Red Sox, Yankees, Astros, Royals and Orioles beg to differ.
