Thanks for blowing a great scoring opportunity by handing them a free out just so you can inevitably pull Miley in a couple hitters anyway, Craig. Hope it was worth it.

With the top of the order coming up, there should have been a run there.

Except with Thames at the top of the order it is not a typical top of the order. He is a huge K risk and that experiment should really be over.

Much better odds nobody out than 1. All the pinch hitter has to do is put it in play and we score, even if we hit into a double play. Terrible decision.

This has to be a tired Brewers team, and not just because they got in late early this morning. They haven't had a day off in two and a half weeks and now have to play a double header Saturday, which can't believe they agreed to. I thought both teams had to agree to a make up date. Why would the Brewers do Saturday with the stretch of consecutive games we have?

27 strikeouts yesterday and the first 5 innings today. Just pathetic.

Agreed. With the way this is trending right now, I really hope the team stays the course at the deadline and doesn’t just throw away prospects.

He's a top of the order bat, a run producer. Runner in scoring position with one out and your run producers coming up, a run should be expected. If you're argument is that it shouldn't be an expectation in that situation, then this team has bigger issues.

Well, at least we've found another mid to back end starter that doesn't have the ability to put hitters away so he nibbles and ends up walking a bunch of bad hitters.

82, I'm just giving you the odds. You have 1st and 3rd nobody out, and you willingly turn it into 1st and 3rd 1 out, your odds of scoring obviously go down, statistically. JV is right to say Thames, while a good hitter, is both an enormous K and double play risk and thus makes those odds even worse and makes the decision even more questionable.

Why are we the only ones to know this ahead of time? Can't CC figure this out himself. It is maddening...

Pretty sure Miley is only pitching because there are what, five games in four days? I don't know how much an extra inning of Miley will help ease some of the pitching burden, but it looks like it won't make a difference if he can't even get out of this inning. Whatever.

With Cain back, Thames should not see the leadoff spot again, but here we are, and he continues to do so. I can see Thames at leadoff if the bottom of our order typically get on base enough to say Thames will then be able to knock them in. That isn't the case, so Thames at leadoff serves no purpose.
