That man is not going anywhere. Put him and Peralta in the rotation for the next five and forget about it starting 2019.

If we're talking deGrom through 2020 I'm interested. No way it's worth a rental bat.

Yeah, I think I'm with you. Established top of the rotation controllable arm or bust.

Throw Woodruff in there too...and add Brown or modeiros in 2020 - not even really kidding

Having piles of pitching is fun!

Yep, that follows what's been the blue print so far. I just can't even comprehend giving up 6 years of a cheap young arm for 3 months of a bat.

Don't forget the fact that Hader will possibly be given the opportunity to start at some point as well. I know he's an All-Star reliever, and that's great. But he came up as a starter, and I imagine he'll want to go back to it at some point.

A couple wild ones I'll chalk up to nerves. I honestly would have been fine with it if CC had opted to give Burnes the 9th too, and rest Knebel. But, oh well.

I would be more comfortable with Burnes for another inning over Knebel in the 9th.

I agree.

the more I think about I think that's where I'm at too. he's just too ready for MLB at this point to still be considered a prospect. At least the way I think about it anyway, as in he's ready now so you know he's at least making the majors. Will he live up to it and do well, of course nothing is for sure. but as opposed to someone where this is a huge percent chance he never even makes it to mlb
