Do the Marlins pitch to Aguilar now?

Oh, so Counsell is perfect, and since he has the best bullpen in baseball he can't be criticized?

please.

Nobody said that. What gets exhausting is the blind squirrel routine where the guy is criticized for every flaw on the field. It's his bullpen use, his batting order, his roster decisions. Never mind the winning percentage, that's the players. The bad stuff is Counsell.

I love the manager with the best bullpen in baseball being mocked for his management of the bullpen

Yeah, cuz that's what he said. C'mon, pitchers give up runs now and again. Hader didn't come out pitching poorly. He hung a couple. It happens and it isn't CC's fault when it does.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Anyone who doesn't think this team needs Machado is crazy. If Jesus wasn't putting up an Albert Pujols in his prime first half it would be curtains.Brett Phillip's and Luis Ortiz and something else to make it happen.

He can be criticized but nobody watching this game thinks Hader looked rusty, he was just fine and got too much of the plate with 2 pitches. One of them most likely because he was being squeezed by the ump. Blaming Counsell for that is just trying to fit your narrative to the story, it has no basis in truth.

It sure hasn’t happened often but if you use 2 of the big 3 and lose the lead you sure feel like you need runs quickly....

Playing the Marlins at least they don’t have a ton of good options out there either if it goes extras.

If he wasn't rusty, maybe he doesn't get too much of the plate for those 2 homeruns!!

No I wouldn't say any particular move can't be criticized. Some of the posts were down right mocking him as if he's some bumbling idiot.

That is complete speculation. Those were not the first home runs he has given up.

Depends on if you only look at one thing. His MPH on his fastball has been 3-5MPH down tonight which isn't normal or good... And it makes that unhitable fastball very hitable.

No more speculation than those who say he isn't rusty.

We can play this game all night.

Hader should not go 7 days between appearances, that is on Counsell. Maybe they need to re-think on how they are using the guy.

Essentially it's impossible for a manager to predict which pitcher might not have it in a night and sometimes it's just the game, the other team is also trying to win. To bash the manager each time a reliever gives up a run just gets old

I’m watching and think he looked rusty. The missed strike three was the 9th pitch and the homer the 10th. How many times have you seen Hader need that many pitches to put someone away?

I also don’t blame Counsell, I get his reasons.

He's throwing 94 or so, that looks about normal to me.

Like one pitch hit 94 and way out of the zone
