Now this is a great game! Pitching, hitting and everything we could want. Too many errors but everything can't be perfect.

If Jesus isn't on the All Star team it will be a shame.

Aguilar closing in one of the three greatest Brewers first half since 2002, behind 2009 Prince Fielder (.442 wOBA) and 2007 Ryan Braun (.441 wOBA), although Braun was only 179 PA. He was 8th coming into today but the two HR should help. (FanGraphs leaderboard doesn't seem to go back past 2002 for whatever reason)

I really like Taylor Williams. Anyone know if he's strictly bullpen from now on, or could he be a potential starter next year or beyond? I know he started some in the minors, but I have no idea how they plan on using him. I feel like he could be a starter in this league, but I admit I don't know a ton about him.

Strictly bullpen. Hopeful future closer.

Even if Aguilar somehow isn't named to the ASG tonight, he's a lock to win the last man in vote.

No he isn’t. Brewer fans don’t vote like they used to back in 2011 or so when we actually voted guys in. Cain was one of the best players in baseball befor ehis long injury stint and was nowhere near a spot. We used to have all our players (even terrible players) in the vote rankings.

He is far from a lock. I’d actually say he would get nowhere near winning it in all likelihood.

Reds got out of it. Extra innings there.

Hope they go 15 innings. Tell I'm still sore about the rainout?

My favorite part of this game is Maddon tactics of using 5 relievers to cover 2.2 innings backfiring. Now he has only 2 or 3 mop up relievers left to try and win. I wish this happened more often to him, it really should. That guy couldn't effectively manage a lemonade stand.

Aguilar is a write in. If you think any group of fans is gonna get a write in voted in, you're nuts.

Did I say that anywhere? He said Aguilar is a lock to win the final vote. How? That is just like the normal vote and fanbase powered. Last I checked the standings the only players we had showing up on the leaderboard were Yelich/Cain. The highest ranked was like #7/#8 in the OF.

Sorry I don’t think we vote as well as we did years ago compared to other fan bases. Before we would have average guys top 5 at their position whether they deserved it or not. Not the case any longer.

Not saying Aguilar doesn’t deserve to win it, but I don’t see how he is a lock to “win it” and I don’t know why my comment deserves a “Wow, just wow” comment.

It will be incredibly hard for Aguilar to win this vote. The 4 other markets Milwaukee is competing against to vote are Frisco, St Louis, Washington, and Los Angeles. I'd like to think neutral fans will vote on merit and Aguilar will steal some of those votes ... but the hometown angle will gain some for Trea and Muncy is a cool story so I'm sure he will get some of them as well.

With that said, let's get it done. Jesus deserves it.

Hader can only pitch when we're up 1 to 3 runs except on the second Friday of a month with a Y in it, then it's 2 to 4 runs unless there was a full moon that week in which case it's the second Tuesday of the month wherein it's back to 1-3 run lead unless that Tueday they had spaghetti as the team meal in which it's only a two run lead unless one of those runs were scored on an unearned run in the fifth inning.
