2018-07-06: Braves (Foltynewicz) at Brewers (Peralta) 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 5-4; Dan Jennings puts out 7th inning fire]

Don't sleep on that play by Thames early. I was sure that ball was going to drop and put us in deep trouble before Peralta ever got going. That play changed the complexion of the game.

I actually just viewed that replay on MLB app, and yea , that was really tough even for a decent OF’er.

Jeffress is hurt by Hader. The OF have missed too much time. Aguilar probably deserves it but 1B usually have to put a few seasons together to break into what's always a stocked offensive group. Hader is the only lock.

Cain, Hader and Aguilar are mortal locks.

I don't think any of that three are mortal locks. I do agree that if we have a single representative, it will come from that group.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Yeah Cain is hurt so he is highly unlikely, Aguilar is hurt by the position even in a weak season for 1B like this. My guess is Hader makes it and that is it.

Edit: Wow major typo saying Hader instead of Aguilar.

Stop complaining about the fan. He saved you a run for now.

He didn't complain about the fan. He asked them to rule it fan interference which would have been an out and the runners wouldn't have moved up.

I don't know who Adam was referring to, but cushon was ragging on the fan pretty hard.

To me it felt like Braun was dogging it on purpose. Like he knew he could catch it but also knew it was gonna be hard to get the runner at home. Though I could be reading to much into it by my own hoping he couldn't get there in time.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

U really think 12 or so pitches is gonna kill that arm? The man is 24 (young 24) and is the BEST relief pitcher in the mlb. And the whole baseball viewing public knows it. I say let him pitch. Have his time 2 showcase how great he is. They have 2 days off after. I think counsell should use Hader more. Like almost every day. They never lose when he appears.

At least put Aguilar in the Home Run Derby.

No. Most guys who do that are messed up for a while afterwards.

I'll be surprised if we get more than one player in the ASG. It will most likely be Hader and he won't play in it like Corey last year...

Dude your nuts!! J. Jeff is a lock-down setup man. He's totally making the All-star team. I'll agree that i've never saw one team w/2 middle relief all-stars before. But there is a 1st for everything. And it's bout 2 happen bro!!

Brewers are now 53-35 and CC needs to rethink his use of Josh Hader lmao

Yes. By that logic CC has been the perfect manager this year and has not made one mistake. No need to make adjustments.

Well he would probably win manager of the year if the season ended today.

Nope unless we win 95 and Atlanta doesnt win 90+.

There will be more attention on Atlanta's manager than Milw. Crap team for years now leading the East division.

The Brewers have the best record in the National League with a starting rotation of a poor Chase Anderson, Jhoulys Chacin, a guy who throws a 73 mph fastball, a bad Zach Davies, (insert whatever pitcher we call up from AAA here), and a semi surprisingly great Peralta. We have seen 500 combined at bats from Eric Sogard, Orlando Arcia, and Manny Pina which have equaled the offensive production of our pitching staff.

Counsell should get manager of the year this year and next year for what he has done thus far in 2018. He goofed tonight with his late hook of Barnes, but Jennings seemed to work out ok amid all of our protests. He gets a mulligan once in a while too.
