Is it time to bring up nick ramirez?

Recommended Posts

You are joining a growing list of fans who have been calling for him since about last July.

Others have pointed out, and there is reason to believe, they went with Zagurski this time because they won't hurt losing him when DFA'd in a minute ... Ramirez would get scooped up certainly if it happened to him. I admit I am pulling for the kid too and he is a better late inning PH option a few on our bench now. Give the kid a chance.

While I agree 100 percent with the above post in terms of the justification for bringing up zagurski over ramirez, I think it's time the brewers spend a little less time making moves with the priority being roster control / flexibility - seems like far too often they are willing to play shorthanded or with lesser talent at the mlb level to make sure a minor league option isn't burned, or a guy like miley / logan is kept around and given more than his deserved opportunity.

There's got to be some middle ground - It's not like they knew Zagurski would fail in a big way - and it's too early to even say he has at this point with only one appearance. He had some pretty good results. You give guys like that shots because who knows what they can do to help. Look at Guerra in 2016, I know the Brewers weren't pushing for a playoff appearance, but he wasn't exactly an inspired option for the big league roster.
