Imagine that, Wilkerson sucks too.

Like I said this season is getting wobbly if changes are not made. I get that it was a series split but it's how it happened. Roster management is terrible right now. By the way is Albers arm amputated? Where is he? He has been missed actually.

You guys really have to stop checking in on the Cubs and letting it bother you. It’s July and yes, they are a better ball club than we are. Begin to deal with that a bit.

Uh, we have a lead in the division. It's July. The Cubs are in 2nd place.

So, you're saying for fans to concede the division and some Miller Park Cubs tickets (good money, though)? I prefer trying, caring, and believing a bit more.

Jared Hughes was pretty good for us last year and has a 1.27 ERA for the year in 42+ innings. Probably not a great call to let him walk for nothing. Would look pretty good at the back end of our pen instead of the junk we have.

No, that's not the point. The point is it's totally pointless to scoreboard watch in July much less hang on every single Cubs game.

Oh my God man, put the ticket stuff to bed, for the love of Christ.

Exactly. We can win the division. Will we? Who knows. But there’s 80 games left. And I pointed out that the Cubs are better because they are. There is a strong chance we fight for a wild card. It’s olay to be realistic about things too. We have the optimism thread to get all that unrealistic stuff out of our veins.

And Rick, your post is exactly why I keep coming at ya about how crappy Sogard is. You’re just too ridiculous with what you post at times.

If it's April or May, sure, I'd agree with you. In July, everyone scoreboard watches with the deadline coming up and division races heating up.

Manny Pina is a big part of this teams problems. He’s just not very good and we don’t seem to care to fix it.

Does he have options left?

I'll complain about Sogard this time. Arcia at his worst is significantly better than Sogard. I'm so confused as to why he's even allowed to play baseball. Can we just take his glove and cleats?

Imo their biggest problem. He's gotten away with it mostly because of people incorrectly attributing pitching success to him.

So how long do we have to have the pitching stink before that corrects itself? :laughing This position just seemed flat out ignored by Stearns. Or he’s just not good at evaluating it.

Hernan Perez is a starting OF for us right now. How bad is Brett Phillips? He should bring back a heck of a return.

The roster management is extremely questionable lately. The philosophy seems to be "we've been calling up filth all year and it worked before, why isn't it working now?"

Nottingham needs to be on this team right now. He is bashing and if he has put things together and can be an upgrade with the bat it would be nice boost to the bottom of the lineup. Pina looks like he has zero energy. He is out of shape it appears and swings like he is swinging a telephone pole. What's the worst that can happen? You are putting Charles Zigurski in big spots. Why not Nottingham?
