Gonna strike out 27 throwing 350 pitches.

Then we can trade him for Thor.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I’m getting to the point where I’d rather they move on from Perez than Sogard. Both would be ideal but Perez is just infuriating to watch hit.

Perez needed to go weeks ago. While the results are the same, Sogard can at least give you a good AB. Perez and his "swing at everything and sometimes you might hit something" approach is embarrassing to watch.

At this point any lineup without Aguilar is a problem. Don't worry though Braun will be hurt by about the 6th.

Madness. I listened to Counsell talk about no depth at all and then I look at the lineup and see arguably the NL's hottest hitter on the bench. Sure, he didn't get a hit yesterday and is facing a RH pitcher today but he has been on fire against LF and RH pitchers plus we have no depth. So he gives Aguilar a rest day. Wow.

BTW, that RH pitcher sucks and has never been good, but against this lineup, he may pitch a no hitter and be a part of a shutout.

One look at the lineup and I'm canceling my plans to come to the park on Tuesday. The last several series, we play all of our best players the first game or two.....then after we secure at least a split in the series, we put in absolute crap lineups and lay on the ropes. This team isn't a driven team. Soft. For that reason, I'm out because I can't put up with the madness until we focus and stop the madness by having our best player on the bench on Sunday rest days. Sad.

Perez shows flashes of brilliance sometimes, but it doesn't even out the suckitude he shows most of the time.

I guess I'm missing where the brilliance is. When he hits a homer every now and then between the first pitch ground outs and three pitch strikeouts?

Perez isn't half bad as a utility player. I certainly don't see him as the problem except maybe that we have to rely on him as "The Bat" when we decide to sit down our studs for rest in the 4th game of series. BTW, Braun's nicks are really starting to be a burden for us. He's old but not that old. My Gosh. I like Braun but I'm not sure our team has the sorta urgent attitude needed to take a pennant. Don't get me wrong, they are professional, but WS teams are more than professional. It's more than a job.

Well, pretty much, yeah.

I know it's almost impossible to remember when it has happened, but it has happened. His first year here he was one of our better hitters.

He’s been on the roster since 2015. I get that he is versatile but it’s amazing to me that he has lasted this long.

These rants are hilarious and making today’s game a bit better. From a comical standpoint.

This team hasn't invested in SS/2nd in a long time. The only decent infielder there is now on the Reds as Counsell decided to waive him. Now the dude may be an All Star.

That said, I keep Perez over Sogard. I'm not amazed, and he has some job security with Sogard on the team.

I'm late to the discussion but when I first saw this lineup I was immediately worried. As good as Peralta has been he was due to come back down to earth. That happened in the first inning. And our hitters are not even making solid contact. It could be a long afternoon!

Gotta make sure we can have some humor out of watching our team get spanked. This appears to be the 3rd series in a row where we win the first part of the series then lose the last part and end up with a split. Other than maybe Maddon, I think Counsell changes lineups more than any other coach.
