How about this from espn stats

Eric Thames go-ahead 3-run HR in the 7th inning was his 13th career HR vs Cincinnati - his most vs any opponent in his career.

Thames is now 3-3 in his career when facing Amir Garrett with all 3 hits being HR.

And it's awesome that we get 70% negativity on pretty much every game thread, despite having the best record in the NL. You guys must be a thrill ride at parties "yeah, sure, I'm having the time of my life, but one day we'll all be dead, so there's that..."

I've received the "you must be a thrill at parties" because I've expressed disappointment with the Brewers as well and I don't get it. BTW... I've been told I'm a blast at parties, but that's probably because I wasn't worrying about the Brewers blowing opportunities at the time.

Sure, the Brewers are in first place and have the best record in the NL, but we've seen this before, and it hasn't ended well. Yes, the Brewers bullpen has been amazing, and the starting pitching has come around for the most part. Without this, the Brewers would likely be .500, or worse. What is disappointing to me is, imagine how far ahead they could be if the bottom third of the lineup could even be hitting .240. The two game lead (or whatever it is) over the Cubs is basically not even a lead. We had a much more commanding lead at the All-Star break last year and saw it disappear about as fast as physically possible. If the bullpen wouldn't have blown like 15 games in the first month and a half of the season the Brewers could have easily won the division, but they didn't take advantages of opportunities. That's how I feel about this year. The Brewers are doing good, and their main competition hasn't done that well, but we can't count on that sticking through for another half season. I look back at 2014 as well and how commanding the Brewers lead was and how they let it slip away. This is the reason why so many Brewers fans take a pessimistic approach... we haven't seen them take advantage of opportunities on a consistent basis (with the exception of 2011... which was awesome). Being pessimistic doesn't mean that you aren't passionate about the team... in fact, it likely may be because you are extremely passionate about this team and just want... no, just need, this team to be successful... just once in our lifetime.

Maybe CC feels the need to play Shaw because the team is so banged up right now he has no other choice. That wrist has still got to be bothering him.

If it is why not attempt to bunt a second time? Telecast said shift didn’t move after the first attempt, why not take a single if they’re giving it? Bunt every at bat till they move the shift.

Womp. Womp.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Every middle infielder we sign or call up just rakes for the first few weeks, even Sogard

Brad Miller actually has a track record of hitting. That’s the difference.

We need a Badger Mutual Insurance run here. Miller on third with nobody out, we better get him in. No Ks!

Ugh this is where I struggle with my inner pessimist...
